We could have had a hometown name like J.R. Reed but have to grab somebody nobody is familiar with - I seriously wonder every year if TD hates his home state.  We signed Gurley but am amazed every year at how we never draft UGA or Tech or Georgia Southern players that easily fill needs we have.

Lol, If It's any consolation we've drafted plenty of guys who played high school ball here. A.J. Terrell is one of them

I think we can  go based off the general reaction to gauge if most people seemingly had awareness of the player or not

That may work, but understand the NFL community that does the picking knows a lot more. Most people around here don't even respect football out west or give it a chance. That is a mistake in my book. I use to love staying up late on Saturday's to get the pac-10 (now 12) games. They produce NFL talent too.

Many may not agree but this draft reminds me of 2016. You may have 4 starters over the course of the year and maybe a 5th due to injury.

Terrell and Walker (base SLB) are likely starters. Henny could win out the LG battle (Coaching staff wants him to win it). Davidson will battle Allen Bailey for the starting 5T job, so thats another possibility. AND Hawkins only has Neasmon to pass to become next man up if Neal goes down again.

Picks werent all sexy but they all filled holes

I feel really bad for Fromm!

I have a question for die hard GA fans.

Who advised Fromm to leave early? I didn't like it when he did it, and at this point it looks like he got some bad advise.

I don't know who advised him to leave early but it didn't really hurt him. It's not like he was gonna stop sucking next year so I can't see where it makes a difference to his draft stock. People fell in love with the team's record and relatives success with him as a starter but they ignored the fact that Georgia lost every single game in which they actually had to throw the ball. He's a smart kid and, by all accounts, a pretty solid human being but he's not an NFL QB. He was barely a college QB and any other coach would have benched him.

One day people will notice TD drafts for special teams and versatile back up players from the 4th on.

He does and i have never been a big fan of it i understand ST and versatility is needed but if players are still there that are considered capable starters at their position i would still take them and put them as depth because that gives you stronger depth across the board incase of injury.

the Vikings pick troy dye.

They're having the draft I wanted for us. I would have liked the Falcons to draft Gladney, Dantzler, and Dye, and was hoping Jefferson might slide to a point where we could target him.

He may do that some, but TD has been known to get some quality players in Rounds 4-7, not just back-ups and special teams.

"...From his first draft in 2008 through his last draft in 2019, Dimitroff has had 53 picks in rounds four through seven. Of those 53 picks, 19 of them have gone on to start at least five games for the Atlanta Falcons at some point in their career. Two of those picks, Grady Jarrett and Devonta Freeman, have gone on to make the Pro-Bowl at least once in their career...."
