Mr. Hoopah!

The Trump fired pepper balls, which make people tear up, on peaceful protestors so he could take a photo op thread

Don't cherry pick polls, please.

(Note that Trump has completely erased the gender gap according to the Hill poll.

Be suspicious of the extremes, trust the averages.

I notice that 14% of female voters are undecided while the male voters pretty much made up their minds. If Biden hits the jackpot on his running mate (woman), he is going to win.

Make America Above Average Again!!!!

Wait.  Trump said we were tied with Germany?  But their dpm is 99.  We are closer to being tied with Sweden than Germany.  Is Trump lying to us?

Please read the code of conduct before replying.

He said the US is tied with Germany? He actually said that?

It was a good article, anyway, even if Glenn's always a little too self-righteous and a little to easy to cite for unreflective conservatives.

That's definitely a part of it and also the fact that he doesn't mention that the article he's talking about is written by the guy who made the call to publish the Steele Dossier when other media sources wouldn't.

Here is one link.  I think he might have said it again yesterday, too.

"Germany and the United States are the two best in deaths per 100,000 people, which, frankly, to me, that’s perhaps the most important number there is," Trump said at a May 11 Rose Garden press briefing.

The electoral shenanigans that some of these states are going to pull this fall will be enough to make a Caribbean dictator from the 1960s blush.

But we'll be told the real threat to our rights is Costco making us wear a mask in their stores.

Anyone bucking PPE right now is just a fool.  We have stores here in Northern Va that make it mandatory or you cannot go in.

I missed that, strange. Usually the media over here goes frenzy everytime Trump mentions Germany in any type of context.

Your link does support the official list. I don't know where Trump got his figures but your article supports the official stats.  He needs to back off that statement and rephrase what he is touting.

I absolutely think Glenn cherry picks context to add at the expense of some credibility. He ought to be ****ting all over Ben Smith now more than ever for the Steele Dossier.

Thank you, sincerely, for that substantive response..

Now, any chance you will hold your breath until he does what you suggest?

And you and I both know exactly where he got those numbers, he pulled them straight out of his gargantuan ***.

That is not true.  I think he is actually is using completely different and not terribly relevant data on Deaths per case.  That is, of people diagnosed with the virus, how many of them die?  If I am correct, he is either too stupid to hold his position, or intentionally relying on people like yourself to be ignorant of the facts.

Trump was right, I am tired of all this “winning”...

Disease models suggest tens of thousands of U.S. deaths could have been prevented.

If the United States had begun imposing social-distancing measures one week earlier in March, about 36,000 fewer people would have died in the pandemic, according to new estimates from Columbia University disease modelers.

And if the country had begun locking down cities and limiting social contact on March 1, two weeks earlier than when most people started staying home, a vast majority of the nation’s deaths — about 83 percent — would have been avoided, the researchers estimated.

The enormous cost of waiting to take action reflects the unforgiving dynamics of the outbreak that swept through American cities in early March. Even small differences in timing would have prevented the worst exponential growth, which by April had subsumed New York City, New Orleans and other major cities, the researchers found.

What does science know? I have my feels, and my illiterate 'reading' of the Constitution! Also, TDS...or something.

I never really considered that Trump would have tens of thousands of lives lost on his resume, or that people would be cheering him on in racking up the deaths. But alas...
