like it was one thing when it was 2015 and the dude was just running for office, but he's been president for almost four years. he's got a pretty extensive record. you can stop saying 'orange man bad' now, it just sounds dumb.

Especially when they spent the previous eight years playing an epic game of "brown man bad".

Seems like rescuing dogs during lockdown is a thing around here. It happened to us this past week. This guy wandered up dirty and skinny, playing with my daughter in the front yard. After a few days o

my dude you have done the 'orange man bad' like a dozen times now, as if it's simply crazy that anyone could somehow take issue with the president of the united states presiding over the deaths of over a hundred and sixty thousand dead americans. having watched the republican party cynically deploy fake outrage over the deaths of just four americans, one of which i knew personally, for literal years and to absolutely no end but political damage, i feel pretty confident in telling you that no one is going to waste their time debating the formula for determining quantitative responsibility like this is a ******* video game and we're racking up scores with someone who clearly doesn't give a **** outside of looking to find anyone else to blame for their sociopath idol.

Off topic but our old family friend I talked about yesterday used to go around telling people he knew Skip Wells and it really ****ing bugged me cause I know he didn't.  They honored his family at one of their civil war reenactments with a wreath yes but he never actually met Skip but then would go around talking about his old friend Skip literally for no other reason than to do some political grandstanding on Facebook.

I'd say that her Democrat opponent should use that in an attack ad, but in that district it would probably only cause her to go up another 10 points in the polls.

She’s in a Republican +27 district. She’s going to Washington in January.

Democrats needs to make her a one woman Squad. Bring her up every chance they get, insinuate she holds power she doesn’t and controls the party.

But Democrats are ******* stupid.

So my point would be you followed that up by saying I hope he gets elected because that leads to Cotton and Crenshaw, and then you said your ultimate goal is to prevent bloodshed because societal change is coming in the next thirty years and kicking the can down the road makes it worse.....

You want it to get worse as quickly as possible. Kicking the can down the road just makes it worse. Your words.

How else am I supposed to interpret all those posts combined together?

Well like I said just a post above.......that's not what BO was arguing.

He posted the article where a Biden presidency is actually potentially a plus for accelerationists......and he literally said just today his ultimate goal is to prevent bloodshed for the societal change that is coming and kicking the can down the road just makes it worse

If kicking the can makes it worse.......what's the other option?

To beak it down, I do think we’re about to enter our Weimar phase with Biden. I think things set up very well for Cotton, Crenshaw, Hawley, or Tucker to follow. I don’t see much cause for hope in the near future. I am willing to at least entertain the idea that dealing with one of those guys in the short term might better set us up for dealing with the future and stuff like America transitioning to a majority minority country, the wealthy elite hunting us with robots, large swaths of the globe becoming unlivable, and wars over access to potable water.

But I didn’t come up with that argument or adopt it as my own. Did anyone here really think I’d vote for Biden under any circumstance? I mean c’mon.

If I were actively trying to make things worse I’d be fortifying the oligarchy with my votes. I don’t want any of that stuff on my hands so I’m voting based on my personal views.

Tell me what you think of individual responsibility?  Or is that a foreign concept to you coomers?

like i guess there's a different kind of "knowing" a person.

in some respects you guys know me better than most, but i'm also completely anonymous to most of you.

if something happened to me i wouldn't take issue with anyone saying they knew me, though.

I know what you mean I'm pretty sure I off handily mentioned "knowing" the husband of the commission director in the Nathan Deal whistleblower lawsuit when it came up in conversation some years ago but i wouldn't say me and @HolyMoses were super close and how dare you tell me what he stood for!

Dawg didn't even know who Skip Wells was till after he died tho.  They weren't so much as Marine Facebook group passing acquaintances but we caught him name dropping him like they were blood brothers and all could say was dude what are you doing

I met Jerrick Mckinnon (and JJ Wilcox too for that matter) so many times at the Chik-Fil-A, Cambridge bus stop etc but I promise you he doesn't know my name

But if he ever takes a knee and gets attacked by the President I'm totally going to "How dare you SIR!" tho :ninja:

So, how am I supposed to feel about this crappy situation I’m in BO @Corn Pop?  From a money perspective, things are fine, for now.  I get to see more crap than I’ve seen.  I’ve admitted to being happy the veil has been pulled off republicans, but right now I have people losing the ability to vote by closing multiple voting precincts around.  I’m not going to try to make you feel bad, but to me, it just feels like having trump and losing the Supreme Court for another generation is worse.  Mind you I know if RBG is replaced by a weed loving justice, we still would get more conservative justices.

Ill just go back in my nihilistic hole, back to nothing matters

I understand how crappy it must feel because the legacies of the two candidates on the Dem ticket are built upon putting poor black and brown people behind bars.

We have to be living in one of the worst timelines with a ticket like this. I think I mentioned yesterday that this is the actual worst-case scenario ticket I posted about like 18 months ago.

If I were big on making the Supreme Court argument about this election, I’d be super pissed off at RBG’s hubris and selfishness in not retiring like seven or eight years ago.

Someone needs to help me out about Cotton. I just don't see it. I don't see a lot of charisma. He's basically Ted Cruz to me.

Feel like even just having the last name Cotton and being a southern republican with a less stellar reputation in the white culture grievances department is a hurdle in its own right.

It's honestly probably all about Crenshaw, Pence and Jim Jordan whIle Niki Haley seems like the type to try to play like she's the less radical choice depending on how Trump's name carries in a room by that time.

Who do you see coming up on the Republican side?

I think one thing we can all agree on is that they’re not gonna return to some Mitt Romney type.

I don’t know how much charisma they’ll need going up against whatever the Dems put forth after four years of Joe.

He’ll never inspire the cult of personality that Trump did.

Best case scenario, he likes a porn tweet on 9/11.

Imagine trying to predict the cartoony bafoonish Trump in 2012 would be even a nominated candidate much less president.

Our next Republican president might honestly be like Kevin Sorbo or James Woods or some sh*t if they hit on the right cultural grievance first.

Also I want the record to show that I was completely sincere when I said that I personally would have an ethical dilemma about voting for a candidate who has demonstrated that he no longer has the mental capacity to carry out the duties of the job. I’m obviously not the biggest norms respecter here but that seems like a relatively basic one that I’d have a problem with. Kamala and the cabinet running the country is not how things are supposed to work. It seems like we’ll be setting a troubling precedent with this upcoming administration.
