Yeah, I’m from about an hour and a half southwest of New Orleans but I hear it’s quickly becoming an epicenter unfortunately.

And likewise, my guy.

Big prayers for over the next few weeks there, going to get really bad for everyone before it gets better. I hate it for y’all after having to deal with Katrina.

I said this in another thread you powers that be are too slow to get on top of this virus. Its legit I’m in a small country bottom of the world we have 600 cases and 1 death and it’s one too many.

Shut the country down everyone stay inside and hunker down don’t wait for the powers that be.There acting too slow.Do what’s best for your loved ones.It feels like it’s about to get out of control in your country.

Don’t wait act now.

RIP Herbert. This virus really is no joke, especially to those “at-risk” groups. Be safe and stay home when you can. Don’t leave unless you have to!

We took a step in the right direction with the virus. The total new number of cases deceased today so hopefully a miracle happened and we have already peaked.

Much appreciated, gazoo. Thankfully being so out of the way makes things a bit easier. Hopefully things start to return to normal soon.

They will my man. My brother teaches at Tulane, so I’m well aware how bad it is there.

Just hang in there, this will pass.

The FDA just last evening issued an “Emergency Authorization” for the use of chloroquine for the treatment of the Coronavirus. It has already passed several clinical trials in other western countries and has shown to actually cure the virus in 5 days.  One physician in New York gave it to 669 patients (so far) and only 4 of them had to be hospitalized and none died.

I have no doubt New Orleans healthcare system is going to get a massive surge of this promising drug this week based on the FDAs Emergency Authorization. This could dramatically shorten the spike that is coming over the next couple of weeks.  I sure hope so, I truly do feel for everyone down there.
