Would be nice. But Simmons isn't making it past Carolina at #7. Wouldn't shock me if NYG take him at 4. He is gonna be the new Urlacher

They compare in size and other measureables. Brian Urlacher was the same player coming out. No true defensive position. It was a no brainer to out him at LB...same as Simmons.

Yeah I don't believe Simmons falls either but could see a weird scenario where he fell that far.   There are just a handful of teams that would take him in the top 10 and most have bigger needs.

Very possible Panthers take him.

Panthers also need to solidify that o-line as well.

CAR may take him...but if they don’t, he won’t make it to 11

ARI doesn’t have a 2nd rounder, so that’s actually the trade up spot...

Id do it in a heat beat...we need game wreckers on defense and Simmons can cover RBs/TEs, pass rush, etc...

Id rather have a generational talent than a DB with a ceiling slightly below Trufant, a completely unproven pass rusher, or a second tier LB or S??? No?

  1. Cincinnati Bengals - Not taking SIMMONS - QB-JOE BURROW
  2. Washington Redskins - Not taking SIMMONS - DE-CHASE YOUNG
  3. Detroit Lions - Very, very doubtful - need a corner  (CB - Jeff Okudah)
  4. NY Giants - Very, very doubtful - need an offensive tackle (OT - Wirfs/ Becton/ Wills)
  5. Miami Dolphins - Not taking SIMMONS - (QB Tua Tagovailoa)
  6. LA Chargers - Very, very doubtful -  (QB Justin Herbert)
  7. Carolina Panthers -  Maybe - give it a 1/3 chance - could take a DTackle or OTackle (Brown/Kinlaw or Wirfs/Bechton/Wills)
  8. Arizona Cardinals - Very, very doubtful - need OT or WR for the young QB  (Wirfs/Bechton/Wills or CeeDeeLamb)
  9. Jacksonville Jaguars -  Maybe - need a CB or DT more  (Okudah/Henderson or Brown/Kinlaw)
  10. Cleveland - need a OT  (Wirfs/Bechton/Wills/Thomas)
  11. NY Jets - SIMMONS falls to here

yeah, it's possible Simmons could fall to #11.   Would cost us our 3rd round pick and likely nothing more if TD didn't panic.   Maybe swap our late 4th for their early 5th as well..

yeah, it's possible.

You think Arizona needs a WR after getting D-Hop?

I deem it more likely they will take an offensive tackle since they got D-Hop but it wouldn't shock me if they took CeeDee if they loved him and they knew Murray loved him.   By the time CeeDee's rookie deal would be up they probably would be willing to let D-Hop go.

I  think they will take an offensive tackle though.

The results of his 4 round mock...

1st (11) = Isaiah Simmons LB (Clemson)

2nd (47) = Marlon Davidson DT ((Auburn)

4th (119) = Khalid Kareen DE (Notre Dame)

4th (143) = Lynn Bowden WR (Kentucky)

Change Davidson to Madibuike. Switch the 143 to a OG and baby you got a stew going!

Don’t see it happening unless they trade down.   #2 spot is for Young or a trade-up for QB.

And you saying Washington could take him at #2 is your opinion.   Maybe one day we will find just one mock draft that agrees with you.

The draft starts at #2 and Chase Young is universally agreed to be the number 1 non-QB in this draft.

Actually out runs Julio, OBJ, A.J. Green in simulcam. This guy is a freak!
