I’ve got to go with the Juice who in the 70’s gracefully eluded linebackers as instinctively as he evaded his social responsibility to the Civil Rights Movement.

People remember ‘73 because he broke 2,000 yards, but ‘75 was more balanced.  He had over 1,800 yards rushing and over 400 receiving.

Who is your pick?

Got to go with the Juice OJ.

No doubt about it.

It’s unfortunate that the two guys on this list who got so much right on the field managed to get so much wrong off of it.

As human beings, OJ and Brown are smegma.  Less than.  Undeserving of even this list

Smegma... Heh I approve of this.

Oj was man like no other.  Huge long strides that made everyone else look like they were in slow motion.

He was 6’2 with a deer like stride.  Wonder who a recent comp is for OJ?  Most people his size and speed are turned into LB or Safety today

I’d love to watch a game where our rb runs the ball 44 times

I voted for LT. 31 touchdowns is still insane to this day. Barry is the best RB of all time though

Kinda gotta agree when you also factor in things like fumbles. Tomlinson only fumbled twice in 16 games that year which is fantastic.

For context:
OJ had 7 fumbles in 14 games in '75 (on pace for 8 fumbles had he played 16 games)
Brown had 5 fumbles in 12 games in '58 (on pace for 7 or 8 fumbles  had he played 16 games)
Barry only had 3 fumbles over 16 games in '97, but that's still one more than Tomlinson & with less than half the TDs Tomlinson had.

No love for Jamal Lewis?

He was solid for a few years but also had a bunch of seasons where he averaged 3.6 YPC. The only reason anyone really thinks about him is because he broke 2k yards rushing in '03, but he also fumbled a ton that year, only had 14 total TDs, & offered nothing as a pass catcher out of the backfield.

Now take a guy like Priest Holmes who was doing things during that same time frame...

Three straight seasons of over 2k total yards. During two of those seasons he had 24 & 27 TDs with just 1 fumble each year. To me, those three years are more impressive than Lewis's one standout season.

Excellent points. @FalconsIn2012 should put this in the poll
