It has been a difficult decision to make but it is the correct one. I am way old school and I cannot speak the new analytic language and I’m just worn out from the criticism of my insufficiencies in this area. I also feel that at one time I had friends on this board but everyone seems to love hating. The vitriol gets to the point of unbearable. I can’t take it anymore. So I’d like to say that great friendships grew in my time here but that would be a lie. So my parting message to all of you is “Have a nice life”. You won’t have Skott Lee or any other of my 15 aliases to kick around anymore. See you in a couple of months

With all the examples of guys figuring it out in their mid to late 20s you have got to be patient. We sure could use someone stepping up this year but guys like Touki, Wright, and Newcomb you dont count on nor give up on especially before age 26-27. If we are talking Wilson then that is a different story. Edited March 9, 2020 by Akod2017

I really don't understand this post I never said I gave up on him I said it's time for him to step up because this will be his 3rd year in which hes had major league experience. I also feel like you contradict yourself saying not to give up on Wright but it's OK to give up on Wilson when hes 2 years younger.

All the position battles (4th/5th starter, 3rd base, last 2 spots in the bullpen) have had multiple well-performing candidates. A lot of the young arms look to be ready to take the next steps, not just the prospects but the young vets like Newcomb and Toussaint too. And (knock on wood) no major injuries. K26dp
LHP A.J. Minter and RHP Chad Sobotka have been optioned to AAA Gwinnett. OFR's Making the Squad page has been updated (as it is every day).

capologist
Phillip Pfeiffer is the one I'm curious about. I don't know much about him but he seems to be a strikeout machine.

I'm totally with you on the pitching. Even the most critical people have little to complain about. I was just looking at the thing this morning that has us second to last in hitting this spring. However, I'm only marginally worried. Pitching's supposed to be ahead of hitting. It will only stress me if we're still struggling in two weeks. He was rushed through the minors which was not fair to his development. What does Wilson not have that Touki, Wright, and Newcomb do? Not calling him Aaron Blair or anything but the arsenal is lacking. Sure he could step up with command, sequencing, etc and surprise everyone on his way to being TOR but I’d bet against it. For the A
After 5 innings Braves trail 1-0. Game is on MLB.TV Felix looked good during his 5 innings tonight. He did struggle some in the 4th. Gave up 3 straight hits and a run before getting a DP and K to end the inning. Kakes, Riley & Ozzie have had potential HR’s knocked down by the wind. Wilson is also 1.5 years younger than Touki, 2.5 years younger than Wright, and 4.5 years younger than Newcomb. He really should be thought of in the same way as the likes of Ian Anderson, Kyle Muller, Huascar Ynoa, and Jasseel De La Cruz. And like all those guys, he still needs some development. jidady
Also, Wilson's struggling will be better for him long term. He'd been too dominant and would have gone through the same thing in the minors that Austin Riley did in 2019. We find out a lot about players once they bleed their own blood. Wilson strikes me as the guy you pick first in Dodgeball. His attitude reminds me a lot of Jason Marquis. K26dp

I will say this in defense of the offense, Braves have hit the ball well and had a number of homeruns and extra base hits get knocked down by the wind. The wind in the new stadium is absolutely brutal. Reminds me of Candlestick Park.
K26dp
They say the wind isn't as bad at night. I hope that's true so the Fire Frogs won't have even more trouble getting the ball out of the park this summer. AUTiger7222
K26dp
Felix and Touki combo'd the whole game tonight. Felix 5 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 6 K Touki 4 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 HBP Touki retired the last 11 men he faced. For the A
Langeliers has had a pretty good spring so far. Any way he starts at a higher level this year. If not how soon can we expect him to start moving up through the levels and to the Braves.

tl;dr
I wouldn’t be shocked to see Pache back with the ML team soon. At this point, probably before Waters. Gut says our starting 5 in the rotation is: Soroka, Fried, Folty, Felix and Wright. Fried has looked a little off from what I can tell so far
