Cole Hamels irritated his shoulder doing drills over the offseason. He will be on light duty the first 3 weeks. It's not viewed as anything serious.

Josh Tomlin signed a minor league deal with an invite today.

The prodigal son has returned to save us once again.

Save us Josh Tomlin. :worship:

If Hamels can go after 3 weeks then he'll be ramping up in early March. He might miss 1 start but nothing more if it's as minor as they seem to think. The Braves have always used extreme caution during the regular season so they'll operate that way even more in February/March. Baseball is a marathon.

Id nominate @E. T. he a good run at the end of the season until the postseason.

Thank you brother, but I really would like to nominate UNKNOWN to kick off the season since he basically lives in this forum. Its the right thing to do....in my opinion.

Here are the new rules

I can see the 3 batter minimum getting abused. Left handed relief specialist comes in and pitches to a left handed hitter. Then they get a fathom injury, cramps or muscle tightness. So MLB should look into implementing some kind of player safety safety net. Maybe if they leave because of injury they can’t pitch the next day.

Don’t really like the Two-way player rule. It basically allows about 10-15% of teams to have a 15th pitcher that the others can’t.  Maybe have some limitations like innings pitched or at bats that if the player reaches they lose that designation.

I feel that MLB teams should be able to crate their roster without limitations.
