Senior Bowl Day 1

Recommended Posts

Just can’t see a DB too early unless it is clear BPA. We have 2 good starting FS, a pro bowl SS (assuming he doesn’t have another freak injury), and 3 starting caliber CB in Tru, Oliver and Sheffield. The way they played 2nd half of 2019 carries into 2020, I would say there are bigger needs early (round 1-2)

we still have a starter at LB set to be UFA, hardly any DL under contract (and none that are really too exciting to re-sign), a **** show at LG, an aging Center, and a bunch of JAGs at RB, and a potential hole at TE...

that said IF Delpit is seen as that good of a ballhawk FS prospect and a true game changer, go for it.

That sounds about right.  They lose 4-5 guys on the dline and pass rush is still an issue.

The Falcons response?  Draft a corner or safety...

He gotta be lying.....no way we draft a CB at 16. Did you say DL or pass rush? TDs been here like three decades....yea we’ll draft a DB

Early can mean 2nd or 3rd round too. Or maybe one falls and its BPA, that's what yall like right? BPA and dont reach?

We need a corner or safety as well. So stop complaining.

"The media has given a lot of hype to Iowa defensive end A.J. Epenesa after three strong seasons playing for the Hawkeyes. While some media pundits have projected him as a high first-rounder, multiple team sources say they have him lower. They project Epenesa to go in the back half of the first round during the 2020 NFL Draft, but some teams gave him a high second-round grade. They feel Epenesa has some stiffness as an edge defender and is not a great fit to be a pass-rusher in a 4-3 scheme in the NFL. Each team evaluator thinks Epenesa's best fit would come as a 3-4 defensive end. Thus, don't be surprised if Epenesa ends up going a little lower than expected in the 2020 NFL Draft."

Id be ok with taking Xavier McKinney with the Patriots 2nd rounder

McKinney will likely be a high riser like Neal was. Wouldn't be shocked if the cowboys took him one pick after us. He can play any spot in the secondary and that carries a ton of value.
