Oh I'm happy that he just lost the way that he did.

However when it comes to 28-3 I place just as much blame on Quinn.

And as far as 'he wasn't out there missing tackles and not shedding blocks...'  If you say that then you also have to apply it to Shanahan.  Did Shanahan give up the sack?  Did he hold?  Was he throwing in-completions?  Not opening running lanes?

If you want to blame the players instead of coaches then sure but you need to blame the players.

Me  I blame Shanahan AND Quinn but I blame Quinn more because he was the guy in charge.  And the disaster that was the defense at the beginning of the year cemented that.

did you read that all the way through? I absolutely said, and I quote "

just like kyle wasn't out there committing holding or missing blocks...;)."

I never said I exclusively blame KS either, but as good as we were on O that year, we were bad in the last half of that game. I blame Q as much or more. but I am on record for the time kyle's hiring was announced until after the game and he left that I didn't like him.

that's all though, glad they lost, glad Andy got his and hoping we get ours soon....  B)

No, an offense can be good without hitting top 3 routinely. I think I’ve found our disconnect. You’re complacent with having a good offense. I’m not. Our percentage of payroll to our offense almost prevents us from just having a good offense. I want a great offense. The great ones will routinely end up in the top 3. And it’s not unrealistic because I gave you a real life example. ‘Thanks for playing’

When you keep changing offensive coordinators every 2 years you're never going to have a routinely great offense. Has nothing to do with complacent and everything to do with realistic. Had we given Sark a 3rd year and IMPROVED the OL like we did with drafting Lindstrom and McCary we might have very well reached top 3 status this year because the offense made a massive jump from 2017 to 2018 under Sark. But it wasn't good enough for folks like you because it wasn't top 3 or historic so he got ran out of town. But no, instead we fired Sark and started all over again on offense. You mentioned the Saints without mentioning they've had the same coaches in place forever so the players aren't having to constantly learn a new offense.

For one, I had no big problem with Sark lol. I was one of the guys saying his 2nd half of 2017 gave me hope, and had no problem growing with him. I just understand why the decision makers felt they had to drop him. He replaced the guy who broke records...he would always be the sacrificial lamb to extend others if we didn’t have a great offense.

And I’ve seen Koetter before over 2 years. He’s had a great group of guys offensively. We still weren’t a top 3 scoring offense. Sheesh, we weren’t a top 5 scoring offense. I don’t think he’ll be able to get it done in 10 years. His offenses has never been that. He’s not a bad coordinator. I just don’t think he’s the guy that will routinely hit that mark.

I do think we can win with Koetter...it would take a different team though. Right now, financially we are built to win with offense.

Well as a Niner fan I can fully identify with you guys now.

Cardinals and Seahawks games:  "Oh crap, Shanny is passing instead of eating the clock, he hasn't learned his lessons since the Falcons SB."

Playoffs hit:  Keeps running the ball vs. the Vikings and Packers. "Whew, he's learned his lesson!  Lombardi #6 here we come!"

4th quarter of the Super Bowl:  2:39 on the clock, three timeouts left, Mostert run.  "Alright, here we go, he's going to what has worked!"

All other plays afterwords: Penalty, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, sack.  "Why, why, why, why?!?!  There was no-way we were going to lose up 20-10 going into the 4th.  Mahomes was stopped and KC could do absolutely nothing.  For the love of all that is holy!"
