Note on De'Vondre Campbell

I think we can find a comparable replacement in the draft for much more sensible $$$, who might even be a better replacement once they get some experience. He's big and strong...if we have one of our LB's meeting a RB head on he'd be the one I'd want to do it, but outside of that, I just don't think with all the things we have going on cap-wise that he should be much of a priority.

A little shocked the Falcons are even going down this road, with their Cap situation next year. He is a fright in coverage, and lays claim to the Paul Worlow effect for most tackles. Not a game changer and not worth the money he will be asking. I think the agent is trying to stir the pot, by saying the Falcons have done the reaching out. TD probably returned the agent's phone call just to see by chance if Campbell would be willing to play for the Vet minimum next year.

Devondre Campbell just doesnt instill fear, we need a LB that can really hit people, Devondre Campbell is like eh.................just there. The whole Falcons defense for the most part is undersized and soft. The only one who could bring the heat was Neal and he's hurt. Grady Jarrett is a player and probably the only one I would keep. I question Debo's desire and without a doubt think Vic Beasley has no manhood. Cut em all. Outside of Jarrett and Kazee they are ALL back-ups on other NFL teams. Someone posted that we should move Neal to LB if he comes back I like that idea.

"A lot of interest". Agent talk who's looking to earn a commission and nothing more. Leading tackler means nothing.

Campbell's always been soft and never truly took the next step to elevate his game after a promising '16 season.

I think he's one of the players that Grady, Ricardo and Julio refer to when they say players aren't putting in the work to get better. I still remember after the Browns game in '17 when they spanked us, Campbell was quoted as saying he didn't take them seriously because they're the Browns and didn't need to prepare as hard. Really dude?

He had some good moments, and he is a good player, but tough decisions need to be made in terms of this roster and honestly I don't see this one as even being that tough.  I'd thank him for his services and wish him the best.

Hes good. Someone will overpay thinking they can make him the next Anthony Barr.

Maybe we get a 3rd round comp from it.

This is terrible...keeping your trash is the first acknowledgement of no self and or team reflection...

100+ tackles 5 yards past the LOS is not...there have been 100s of LBs that have had high tackle numbers that are bad players...

Dude hasn’t instincts, hasn’t shown to be a leader, doesn’t shed blocks, terrible in zone coverage.....

If he’s so highly sought after, get a 5th round complicity for him

Get guys on rookie contracts...

Very few LBs should make more $$$$ than a rookie contract.

We already made a mistake on a weak coverage LB, lets not do it again...
