Pacific_Falcon
I think we can find a comparable replacement in the draft for much more sensible $$$, who might even be a better replacement once they get some experience. He's big and strong...if we have one of our LB's meeting a RB head on he'd be the one I'd want to do it, but outside of that, I just don't think with all the things we have going on cap-wise that he should be much of a priority. federicofalcon2, autigerfan, Chitown2ATL_Falcon and 1 other

Smiler11
I thought Campbell was gone before seeing that Drew Rosenhaus was his agent - he's definitely gone now. gkgrimes, NewtonLaws, NCFalconfan and 18 others

He is a fright in coverage, and lays claim to the Paul Worlow effect for most tackles. Not a game changer and not worth the money he will be asking. I think the agent is trying to stir the pot, by saying the Falcons have done the reaching out. TD probably returned the agent's phone call just to see by chance if Campbell would be willing to play for the Vet minimum next year. MattM12
As if he is a Rosenhaus guy. Sigh. I will be beyond angry if we pay Devondre Campbell a cent over 6mill per. And if we did that, I'd still be annoyed we didn't let him walk. One of the most dissapointing Falcons in recent memory for what I thought he was going to become. Lethal
He had some good moments, and he is a good player, but tough decisions need to be made in terms of this roster and honestly I don't see this one as even being that tough. I'd thank him for his services and wish him the best. PokerSteve, Ovie_Lover, Francis York Morgan and 8 others
The Don™
"A lot of interest". Agent talk who's looking to earn a commission and nothing more. Leading tackler means nothing. Campbell's always been soft and never truly took the next step to elevate his game after a promising '16 season. I think he's one of the players that Grady, Ricardo and Julio refer to when they say players aren't putting in the work to get better. I still remember after the Browns game in '17 when they spanked us, Campbell was quoted as saying he didn't take them seriously because they're the Browns and didn't need to prepare as hard. Really dude? Edited January 16, 2020 by The Don™ papachaz, PokerSteve, AUTiger7222 and 3 others

If he’s so highly sought after, get a 5th round complicity for him Get guys on rookie contracts... Very few LBs should make more $$$$ than a rookie contract. kiwifalcon
Not saying we should keep him but it’s the same every year with a contract extension.A lot said the same about Ryan Julio Jarrett Trufant Debo and whoever is in there contract year. Trying to make an argument about someone else’s money. Harder decisions for me is what we are inclined to do with Mack and Trufant.
