Tandy
They are announcing the class this morning on GMF - but I've been working. Anyone heard anything about Nobis?
NCFalconfan
Not seeing his name on the bottom scroll on NFL Network....And of course the NFL.com page which is pure garbage- isn't much help either.
NCFalconfan
Yeah, he was snubbed again... Not sure how you can make the NFL's official ALL 60's Team despite only playing 4 years in that decade and not being enshrined in the HOF. It's a bad joke at this point. FentayeJones
He didnt get in. They had to make sure they met their quota of Steelers, Cowboys and Bears players. Dam shame. Drew4719, JDaveG, jeffro2000 and 6 others
poutlipper
It's going to take an incredibly well written piece in the Athletic or something at this point.
NCFalconfan
The next generation will get to see Ryan struggle to get in the HOF despite probably being in the top 5 all time in passing and being a league MVP. Will probably be the case for Julio as well. There was and still is to an extent a bias in the sports media (much of which resides in the northeast) when it comes to Atlanta teams. Dam shame. Seriously though, basically everyone that got in were on the marquee NFL teams and/or the SB/championship winners of their eras. You got a bunch of Steelers/Cowboys/Bears/Browns players elected today. I get it but with Nobis it 100% because of the team/market that he played in is why he isn't a HOFer. NCFalconfan
The Bears Jim Covert in over Mike Kenn is probably the biggest example of bias. Kenn's career was head and shoulders better than Covert's but one played in Chicago, and the other played a career that spanned over 3 - yes 3- decades in Atlanta. Covert: 2X Pro Bowl; 2X All Pro; 7 seasons; 111 games Kenn: 5X Pro Bowl; 3X All Pro; 17 season; 251 games. Just a flat out JOKE. kiwifalcon, Sun Tzu 7, Doctor Kildare and 7 others

NCFalconfan
I hear they are moving on to guys that mixed the Gatorade for the Steelers, Bears and Packers in the 60's and 70's next. After that Nobis may get his shot. Faithful Falcon, Drew4719 and Tandy

Jesus
Shoulda won that superbowl. It brings attention to the team and their history. Rickey Jackson played for some lousy Saints teams and was worthy of getting in the Hall, but sat around for 5 years after eligibility. Then the Saints win the SB in 2009 and he goes in the next year. The team needs to raise their profile better and call attention to their all time greats. Statick and Summerhill

Summerhill
2 hours ago, capologist said: And yet someone like Jimmy Johnson gets in off of two years... I can see Johnson kind of like the Gale Sayers of coaches. He may have only been great a few years, but he was unbelievably great those few years and with his upending of conventional draft and player acquisition strategy, was operating at a whole other level compared to everyone else. I'm much more skeptical of Bill Cowher who merely had an extended run of being above average and was known for losing a lot of big games.
