What do you think of Scarborough ?? I think we talked about it. If developed properly he could become a lesser version of Henry

A lesser version of Henry is ollison. Just a big guy. You guys hop on so many band wagons.....Henry was straight garbage his whole career until their line started dominating.

Henry YPG

2016: mid 30’s

2017: mid 40’s

2018: mid 60’s

TATF would have run him out of the league by 2019

Yep. They pay absolutely zero attention to the rest of the league. Probably where all the unrealistic expectations come from.

Standing 6'1", 248 pounds, Dillon clocked a 4.5in the 40-yard dash and a 4.29 in the shuttle. His athleticism (38.3-inch jump) and strength (40-foot toss) were also on display, earning him SPARQ (speed, power, agility, reaction and quickness) ratings MVP honors for a second-straight year.

4700 all purpose yards and 40 TD’s in 35 games

Yes!! This is my type of running back!! Bring him home!!

I'm pissed we gave Ollison an entire 22 carries all season. What a waste. What an absolute waste.

what are you even talking about ?? people have wanted a big power back for years

I know I have!! Big bruising power back is my favorite type of back. Not a fan of these small shifty backs like Freeman and Ito. I've been begging to get another Michael Turner type guy here for years.

Don't worry, we will spend another 1st on a combine warrior or a DL player that excelled only when playing inferior talent or in a stacked defense.  Then we will draft a bargain bin RB and get dollar store results.

The league has figured out that as defenses are getting smaller, having a pure RB is gaining more upside.  But we will stay behind the trends as usual. (see implementing the Cover 3 after the league has figured it out)

Broad Jump
Henry: 130"
Ollison: 114"

3 Cone
Henry: 7.20 sec
Ollison: 7.53 sec

OK so Ollison is a poor man’s Derrick Henry.

But the Falcons do not have the OL to run 30+ times a game.

The explosiveness and agility metrics are hugely different. The vert, broad had 3 cone tend to show that. 8 inch more vert and 16 inch more broad is why one went second and was projected first round, and why we got one who may end up as an athletic FB/short yardage guy

Where were all of these Henry fans the first 4 years of his career before his contract year?

Overly criticize 1 guy as the reason for lack of success.

Overly credit 1 guy as the reason for an outbreak of success.

Pretty much this....

Henry averaged 32 ypg in 2016 46 ypg in 2017 & 65 ypg in 2018.   Freeman gets lynched here for averaging more ypg over the same period.

If we drafted Henry in the 2nd but he averaged 45 ypg his first 3 years, the board would State Line him

Or just discredit him all along whether his "stats" are good or bad; like Matt Ryan.manning.jpg.f9279c687547fcff2cc8d4c940041a1f.jpg
