I’d cut Free and Ito, re-sign Hill and Barner, then draft a real speed demon like McFarland. Kutty ain’t gonna run the ball much though.

Yep. Won’t really matter who is back there. He’s had 2 running backs in his entire coaching career rush for double digit touchdowns (one was turner when he had 10 back in 2012 and the other was MJD in 09 I think) and if I’m not mistaken 3 running backs rush for 1,000+ yards in a season since 2007 when he entered the league. I believe it was Fred Taylor in 2007 MJD in 2009 then Doug Martin in 2015. 3 years out of 13 going on 14 he’s had a rb rush for 1000+ yards. But hey what the **** do I know

To be fair koetters offenses have been backed by trash tier defenses his entire career

How many good defenses has KS or Andy Reid had to back up his offense through the years? Lol I literally don’t know the answer to that question BUT what I do know is that he (DK) tends to give up on the run which makes him predictable which plays in to the hands of the DC. Idk man I’m tired of the excuses and having to search for a reason to believe that Dirk Koetter is the correct answer for this offense.

I have no idea about other coaches but I was curious so I looked it up on koetter and his defenses have averaged out to the 22nd ranked scoring defenses over his co-ordinator career. They've been bottom 5 like 6 or 7 times. It was crazy

probably what he did with Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew. five consecutive years of 1000 yard rushers as OC in Jacksonville. that doesn't fit your narrative though I'm guessing

When did they rush for 1,000 yards 5 straight years? Or did you mean combined for 1000 yards? In DK career he’s only had a rb rush for 1000+ in 3 seasons from 2007-2019.

Dang that year we gave up that 17 point lead to SF. I’ve partially erased that year from my memory. Crazy that was 8 years ago.

If we can get 2012 like offensive production and a defense that is good at forcing turnovers and/or holding teams to 20 points or less by playoff time like the 2017 team did we can be a contender.

From 2009-2011 MJD had over 1000 yds

1300+ 2x and a 1600+

And in 2007 Taylor was over 1000

In 2008 they combined for over 1300

MJD over 800 and Taylor over 500.

Yeah it’ll be interesting to see how next season plays out. So much on the line as far as jobs and personnel go. I’m going to try and remain optimistic until I can’t be optimistic anymore. At this point I’ve seen the Cardinals win the World Series twice, the Rams win the super bowl and get stripped away from the city, the chiefs win the super bowl and even the mother ******* Blues win the Stanley Cup. I just want to see a falcons super bowl man. It’s hard to buy in to this being a winning culture when I’ve seen it and grown accustomed to it (with the cardinals). For Stl it’s deep playoff run by the Redbirds or bust, every single year, no excuses. It’s like as a falcons fan I have to force myself to believe we can make the right moves on and off the field and after so long it just beats ya down. Been with this team since 01 and I’m not going anywhere I just wish we had more than more of the same

You’re right. I misread my stats. I’ll have a seat in the corner.

You good bro. He also had that year with Doug you mentioned. I think he needs a good RB to have a good run game, but he can make due with a lesser QB and WR see the Bucs. Either way he isn't my first choice but meh it is what it is.

Of the 3 you named, Barkley would make the most out of nothing and have everyone not watching think that Dirk is a RB guru

He'd have to perform miracles to have to have people proclaiming Dirk a RB guru. RB guru and Dirk will never be included in a sentance together
