2020 MLB Season Thread

MLB is reportedly furious with Miami. The investigation determined that players went out to various places and bars while in Atlanta. Marlins were obviously found to be very non-compliant and it might cost MLB a season.

As they should be.  A handful of guys made MLB the laughing stock.  Wonder if they’ll punish those guys more than the Astros.  🤔

Marlins slaughter continues. Isan Diaz has went home and will sit out. Diaz was one of 12 healthy players on their roster. They did however get through a day with 0 positives.

Cardinals reportedly have 4 more positive results today.

Phillies once again had 0 positive. They still haven't had a single positive since their series with Miami.

Multiple reports that as many as 6 Cardinals players/staff have tested positive. It's a second outbreak. Today's Cards/Brewers game has been postponed.

Jerry Hairston Jr. reporting that some Cards personnel went to a casino last week.

Players have repeatedly said they're not being informed quickly. Multiple have said they check Twitter to learn if they're playing or what is going on.

MLB has played the political game this whole time. So, I'm least surprised by these (repeated) reports. It's appalling, though. Can you imagine if you had to check for your job's updates on Twitter? It's like teachers on potential snow days. Every day.

I think that this has been handled so so poorly by all involved.

MLB and the MLBPA screwed the pooch..... And did not even give them the courtesy of giving them a treat

If you want jobs this year and want to play, you have to behave and follow the rules.  Too many selfish people out there for any of this to work.

I say the Marlins and Cardinals should be forced to forfeit their seasons because they've decided that the rules don't apply to them. That would send a clear message to the rest of MLB that if you don't follow the rules you don't play. Don't punish everyone else.

I knew the White Sox had ended having their games broadcast on WGN but I had no idea that the Cubs had followed suit. I'm just baffled at trying to process that the Cubs no longer air their games on WGN. That's just so weird.

Cubs are following the college football trend. They launched their own network in February. They now air on Marquee Network.

Yeah, it's just weird. It's like when the Braves stopped being on TBS. It's just gonna take some time to get used to.
