The circumstances suck but given how they acted in the playoffs last year.......they can suck it.

When I first heard about the runner on second rule I absolutely hated it but now that I've seen it in action for a number of games I actually like it. It adds instant drama and excitement to the game.

The Indians beat the Royals 10-1. The Braves beat the Red Sox 10-3. The Tigers beat the Brewers 12-1. The Cardinals beat the Reds 16-2. The Giants are beating the Rockies 23-4.

Nats scratched Strasburg with discomfort in his right hand. Strasburg said hes been getting treatment on it since waking up with numbness in it during camp. Team and Strasburg thought best way forward was caution and more treatment.

Jose Urena scratched because of a positive test result. He is asymptomatic. Theres speculation 2 other Marlins are positive as well. Florida is not the best place to be right now. Braves travel to Tampa next.

Marlins are in Philadelphia and were in Atlanta last week. So these tests didn't happen when they were in Florida. But at least now we can probably point to where Flowers and d'Arnaud got their positive tests from.

They havent tested positive yet. All negative so far. Just symptoms at this point, Snitker said likely just a bad cold.

Marlins also lose Garrett Cooper, Alfaro and Harold Ramirez.

Well it hasn't hurt them so far. They're beating the Phillies 9-5 right now.

He might have been the source of the outbreak for the Braves, too. There's a reason why every Atlanta Braves hates that dude. Well, two reasons now.

This is crazy. The Astros, Cardinals and Padres are all 2-0. The Mariners, Pirates and Diamondbacks are all 0-2. The Dodgers are 2-1 and the Giants are 1-2. The other 22 teams are 1-1 including the entire divisions of the AL East, NL East and AL Central. This never happens!!

The Marlins game tonight has been canceled. They have a covid outbreak. 8 more players and 2 coaches have tested positive. Team is stuck for Philly for another day. Hopefully this will remind everyone else in the league to follow the protocol strictly. All it takes is one person and your team is out.

Yankees not allowing Philly personnel into their clubhouse

Phillies clubhouse staff are quarantined and being tested. Phillies also have people cleaning and disinfecting. They say it's being cleaned "50 different ways". Phillies and Yankees plan to play tonight as of right now.

Marlins are reportedly burning up the phones trying to find some MLB quality replacement players. They're trying to avoid running out a squad of AAA and AA players.

This was always going to be a possibility if the season started. It's going to be a wild ride with teams likely digging deep into their minors pool this year.

As someone said in another thread, if the season goes on, it could come down to "the survival of the least sickest. "

What a mess.

Prayers up!

They just mentioned yesterday that the Marlins were preaching all camp this is their shot. They said with the short season all they had to do was play good for a few weeks and they sneak in as one of the 8 NL teams. Give the young players they have some valuable experience.

I said it at the time, I reiterate. MLB was *INSANE* to skip the bubble concept and try to hold a season at home stadiums. It raises the level of risk by several exponents.

Meanwhile, the NBA still hasn't had a single positive test from inside its bubble, which has existed longer. That streak won't last, but it tells the whole story.
