Ryan also missed on some open throws and had open looks that he did not pull the trigger on

Yeah so did Drew Brees when we made him our bitc* in their house. Pressure affects QBs. Always has and never will change unless cyborgs take over at QB.

We may disagree on Ryan but sacking Brees a million times was fun.

I can understand your underwhelmed feelings for sure. But honestly, it has been MUCH worse and less hopeful numerous times especially during the Smith ownership tenure. That being said, I feel your pain.

So its ok cause we now talk of degrees of bad performance?  Was this season a D- and not an F so we should be cheering DQ gets to keep his job and all his rag tag buddies that are doing on the job training to be coaches?

No new vision in admin... here I will toss ya a box of bandaids to patch up the team for next season.  Lets not forget a shovel so we can try to dig out of the TD~DQ hole we are going to be in.  By time we dig out Ryan and Julio will be applying for social security.

Falcons under Quinn and staff is a bad episode of groundhog day... season after season of bad decisions.

Watching stain face end up in the turf is always fun.

Hopefully the vikings can do that several times and they do not need a 10 second miracle.

Jeez, cry me a river everyone. Koetter doesn't scheme guys as well as Kyle but he's not some atrocious coordinator. He had the league leading rushing in MJD before coming here the first time so this notion that he doesn't or doesn't want to run the ball is crazy. He hasn't because we haven't had good enough personnel and we've been behind in more than a few games as well. He came in and had to adjust to a new offense himself, not the other way around. Just like Sark and Sark was night and day better the second year. Unless Kyle Shanahan himself is coming through the doors, he's the logical choice for a team with an aging QB and receiver and a limited window for the coaching staff to get it done.

This isn’t Dirks first year.  When he had three before he got worse each year.  Since his league leading rushing attack a decade ago, he has been bottom of the league every year since.  When he stumbled across something that worked well, and you think he is adjusting, the next week he goes away from it and almost gets Ryan killed.

Disappointing doesn't begin to describe.

Yep.....this is my issue w the whole DQ, TD and RM continuum.....it’s only delaying the inevitable I fear.  I’ve said it a thousand times...yes, I’m rooting for them but I have zero confidence we’ll see anything more than what we’ve seen already.  The guys played their arses off simply to ensure that “Club Brotherhood” stays in tact.  Now it’s back to the easy life (Q does the talking while players do the relaxing) I sadly fear.....

And before people blame the OL...yes it was bad!

I mean...that's kinda it isn't it? Dirk wants to run what he wants and doesn't cover his players weaknesses while enabling the chess game. He wants them to just stand in there and take it while his routes do w/e.

The Jags game was much different. THE JAGS DATA RINGO!!! lol

Haha if you only knew how many times I’ve checked every day to see if it posted!

Koetter was horrific again Sunday.

MR was in grave danger the entire game & Dirk has no solutions to help.

Granted, the Oline was being bullied very badly by a good Tampa front.

Shanny, however you feel about him, was brilliant once again this week.  We need that kind of mind on offense imo.

It’s because he needs to be replaced w a scrambling QB...they don’t get sacked because they’re fazt! :ninja:

It's his first year running this system. He didn't have an offensive line in 2013-14 either. I'm more talking about his desire to run the ball though. I think he's just being forced to be pass heavy due to the circumstances he's been in.

He hasn’t been running Shannahan’s system hardly at all.  Majority of this years were his plays, from his playbook.  Outside of week 16, watch how the line is blocking, the WR screens instead of RB, the lack of under center, low usage of FB. This is 80%+ Dirks system.  Again, even if it wasn’t, he hasn’t had a top 20 run game in a decade, it’s not like he had been good  and then fell off this year.
