Blinded by affection, Arthur Blank makes a major mistake - Mark Bradley

Mark Bradley is spewing content for click bait purposes. You don’t fire a coach and a GM with a long track record of success.

We just need to forget this season and move forward. You are either with the team and the organization or you move on. It is what it is— fans always assume they know a lot when they don’t know jack.

The 2nd half performance is a key indicator for the team going forward. This team is not draft hungry as some of you think- they already have the core pieces. This team is not a rebuild team, but a team that needs some tweaking.

Yeah you definitely don’t want to forget this season.

Unless you’re cool with Quinn being his own DC again.

I wonder what these writers will say if it works. If we win. Will they apologize? Own up? Or just move on as if nothing ever happened.

They like most of the posters will pretend it never happened ... similar to statements like "the NFL has caught up to Quinns Defense"

Media have it so easy. Always pissing their pants with the problems, never guts enough to suggest the solution.

I don't think you realize how easy Quinn and all of the coaches in Atlanta have it.

ATL media is extremely soft and this was a puff piece. During that 1 and 7 start I watched the majority of the post game pressers and never saw Quinn asked a particularly tough question.

Haven’t been much of a Mark Bradley fan since he compared the 96 Braves to the 27 Yankees and they then proceeded to lose 4 straight to the 96 Yankees.

But this piece has merit.  Ultimately, the primary issue is the salary cap is in such bad shape with so many unloadable contracts at the moment, any in demand front office exec or HC would dismiss the Falcons as a viable option.

Its what you call running a franchise into the ground.

These journalists hate being wrong. Bradley and Schultz both called for DQs job already and now it appears they were wrong, Arthur’s not canning everybody.

There’s plenty of debate that can go into whether or not AB is making the right moves, but these guys sound like jilted lovers.

Bottom line: Like it or not, Blank is the owner. It’s HIS billions and his team. He can do with it how he pleases. In the big picture, it is not his responsibility to please us, although one would hope that is part of his overall plan. It IS his desire to make sound business decisions HE feels will benefit HIS investment. At this time, he believes stability is a huge consideration and chose to go forward with subordinates that brought him success in the past. It’s easy to sit here and make our own decisions based on our own preferences when our only investment is the few hundreds of dollars we spend on tickets, concessions, and merchandise. Arthur has a billion dollar empire to consider with every decision he makes. And no matter what we say, we simply cannot imagine the magnitude of that.

Mark is right, the problem with GA teams in general is our soft fanbase the majority in this thread is OK WITH MEDIOCRITY.

Thus the reasons the braves, hawks, dawgs, and falcons havent won anything in decades. Fanbase is ok with just having a team and has always been this way.

When a few demand better we're told by the masses just be happy you got something. Mike Smith was going after 2 seasons but because Shannhan got this team to the Super Bowl, Blank is ok keeping soft serve DQ for another year while jacking up prices. Yeah ok.

Enjoy them empty seats next year Blank.

Media’s job is to report the news, he’s also stating that he believes retaining Quinn is a mistake which sounds like a pretty direct statement on wanting Quinn fired. Sure he’s not saying “hire this person” but that’s never the media’s job.

Kirby is a 9 to 10 win coach and Richt was a 8 to 9 win a year coach, neither is a Championship coach. UGA hasnt won a NC in 40 years and when they did it was because they had a grinder like Erk Russell pushing the team, not because of Dooley.  Championship coaches are not the players friends, they are all business and they have some grit in them. Players respect a harder coach that pushes them to win more than a rah rah best friend. Players want the hardware not a friend. UGA and Falcons are too soft when it comes crunch time. And while Blank runs team like a country club there will be no hardware until Blank is gone, thats a fact jack.

Journalists have the luxury of sitting back and pointing out everyone else’s perceived flaws while never having to actually prove themselves by putting on a jock strap or leading a board meeting.

Those who can either play, coach or own. Those who can’t go to journalism school.

So because someone hasn't done it at the highest level means they're opinion is null?

Hope you've never complained or critiqued anything in your life before.

When Smitty was fired, Blank was criticized by a "journalist" for not letting Smitty know before the final game that his services were no longer needed.

Now that Blank says before the final game that Quinn will stay Blank is criticized by a "journalist" for keeping Quinn.

It's a no win situation.

Anyone who has lived in Atlanta for most of their life knows about Mark Bradley. He is right up there next to DLed.
