Author Claus gifts to his coaches and players

In this Yuletide season, I think it’s appropriate and fitting to ponder just what gifts our owner Author Blank would bestow upon his coaches , players, and administrators

I have the creative ability of a doorknob but I’d like to hear what our talented posters would come up with.

Hi only real obligation as an owner is to the fans. Period. And his record there is, uh, mixed.  Best gift to the fans is a team that doesn’t embarrass them on a semi- regular basis.

His obligation is to make money in his business investment. Blank doesn’t owe the fans a darn thing. I laugh at that sense of entitlement.

The Falcons are not a non profit. The fans matter too Blank because his business is making money off them. If the fans stop spending due to the products being subpar, he will do his best to correct it so they spend again. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

Falcons are a tough team to own IMO, because the fan base can be so fair weather and anything short of pure dominance they don’t show up. I would much rather own a team w a more dedicated fan base. I applaud Blank for putting so much into a team that goes largely unappreciated by the city they play for.

And defaulting PSL’s and a half empty stadium for most of the season ain’t good for business. Owning a NFL franchise is about as close to a licence to print money as there is. We’re kidding ourselves if we don’t think pride plays a huge part in an owner’s thinking. You don’t get to be a billionaire without being a hugely competitive person. I’m guessing that AB is seething in private. DQ and TD have been bad for business for a couple of years.

I agree with this.

I am saying it’s like any other business. Falcons are a product, fans are the customer. If the product is subpar, people will stop buying.

Blank doesn’t owe the fans anything, because they have a choice to buy or not.

The thing is Falcons fans are much harder to please than the average NFL customer for some reason. They don’t come to games even when there is a good product. Still not sure why that is, but it’s reality, and something Blank has to live with because of where he chose to invest into and NFL team.

as far as the PSLs, I would go after collecting what’s due to the max. It’s a contract people agreed to in good consciousness, and to stop playing because they are being fickle fans is BS. If anyone reading is in this crowd...not sorry.
