Letting him go to Carolina for basically what we paid Stocker was another offseason blunder by TD.  His veteran presence was sorely missed and could have paid huge dividends early in the year.

Plus he is tied with Khalil Mack at 7.5 sacks.  A cheap veteran leader that produces 8-9 sacks is a championship building block..like Freeney was in 2016.  And once again me struck out

At least we made the right move taking Lindstrom at 14 instead of Burns; who has cooled off considerably while Beasley has gotten hot as soon as we change up defense.

Davison was probably our best FA move; considering the failed OGs. Stocker has been up/down but he was part of the plan and a guy Mularkey likely pounded the table for. Can’t fault TD for that. He gave us enough players to win this year. Going 5-2 since we improved with coaching after Bye week; 2 wins over top 2 NFC teams in their place?

We did the same thing letting Poe go to Carolina. TD has never been able to leave well enough alone. He did the same after 2012 and wrecked a SB contending team for the next two years, and cost our coach his job.

Not the same thing imho, Poe got 10m/yr in a year we had to pay Grady. 4m vs 10m is a pretty drastic difference.

Poe has been part of a terrible Panthers Defense. He was overpriced. Irvin being kept at least has merit because it was a cheaper option.

Funny what bad coaching to a 1-7 start can do to a team.

No reason Gono shouldn’t have been converted to RG while Lindstrom was on IR and let the best remaining man cover for LG. We wait until the very game Chris is back to put Gono in. Lol.

On the flip side, Morris becomes DB coach and voila we start wrecking QBs.

This^^^^  ...... and reason number 4 why Quinn has got to go. In the last two seasons, we are a combined 13-18. Extract our record of 8-2 in games played after we had no shot at the playoffs and we are 5-16 in meaningful games. Marinate that in your brain for a minute.

People want to point to the fact we have finished strong at most likely what is gonna be 6-2. But HAVE we finished as strong as we should have? If hindsight is 20/20, we really should have been no less than 7-1 with the team we have. The loss (and effort) to Tampa was inexcusable and now we know that New Orleans was not the juggernaut we thought they were.

So take that and say we only had a mediocre first half at 4-4 and we’d be 10-5 at worst. Yet we have underperformed that over the course of the WHOLE SEASON by three games. I just don’t get why people want to forget 1-7. Baffling after he has steadily regressed since 28-3.

Ha! Now Quinn has two number figures tied to his legacy. 28-3 and 1-7

Yes it would have been nice to keep Bruce around but the decision to keep Beasley on option is what crushed that dream.  We went into the season thinking we were going to have Beasley, Takk, Means, Clay and a draft pick (Cominsky).  Throw in what Campbell brings and there just wasn't a lot of reason to pay Bruce.  I also think this "veteran" in the lockeroom has played out...save for Cominsky, all these dudes been around long enough to know how to do their job.

This team still lacks clear and demonstrative leadership.  It’s been an issue since Freeney, Spoon, Jackson & others left

Oh I'm not disagreeing that it could help but more that at some point, wasting cap and a roster spot on a babysitter for a group that should be fairly mature by now is a bigger concern.  These guys need to step into those leadership roles.

The franchise has a history of sacrificing the dline/pass rush for the offense.
