Thomas Dimitroff Needs To Be Fired

I think some of you characters expect 13-3 and a trip to the SB every year.  This isn’t college.   From 2008 to 2012 the Falcons were the only team with a winning record every one of those years. All NFL teams ebb and flow.   The Patriots are an outlier.   Saying “Blank just needs to find the next Belichick” is ridiculous because 1) 30 other teams are trying the exact same thing and 2) he may not exist.

The Patriots are the biggest outlier of team success. What makes it even worse, is they play in the weakest division in football and has been consistently weak for most years.

This is totally based on an agenda and ideology that pass rushers & trench players are what makes a GM good to begin with. I could care less if the GM has a poor record of acquiring said players if he's been good enough to get other necessary players that has allowed us to at least be in a position to win the super bowl.

One time in 12 yrs... nah dog not enough for those that want the best

What your talking about as in finding the next BB is needle in a haystack type stuff it’s not realistic and not happening.

Since TDs been here we’ve been in the playoffs every 2nd year and had a chance to win it twice.

8 yes 8 in the first 42 years so if you add perspective to your argument we have got a lot better.

See you wouldn’t have this expectation if we were that 8/42 team.

But we’re not that with AB here the Clampetts are gone. You gotta set your standards higher than that bro

It’s infuriating that this is never discussed.  The one stretch when the Patriots had actual competition in their division, from 2008 to 2012 when Rex Ryan was in NY, they made one SB and lost it.   While we’ve been battling Brees and Cam they’ve played against Ryan Tannehill and JP Losman.

They've gotten a free ride to a first round bye for nearly 20 years.  Given that about 70% of SB births go to the top 2 seeds try and tell me their weak-a** division doesn’t give them a huge advantage

Wanting the best and having unimaginable expectations are not the same.

I don’t think wanting to win a SB a couple of times in 10 -12 yrs is unrealistic. TDs had his chance and blew it. Explain paying 50 million $$$ for two starting guards in FA that don’t even start. Just tired of this crap bro. That’s a lot of money to piss away wth

I think the point he's making, is that it's hard to even find a quality GM who can build a team that has consistently won games and made it to the playoffs at least the way we have with TD. I mean it's a lot easier to be the Cleveland Browns of the last decade.

The average franchise would win one title every 32 years.  A couple a decade borders on unrealistic, especially in a league built to create parity

The only reason TDs won period is because of MR2 and he almost took Dorsey.

and yet they have 6 Super Bowl Rings.... Should be 7 if it wasn't for a freak catch on a 4th down play

True but explain spending all that money on those two starting guards that don’t even play and let’s not get started on the Peter Knoz Lamar Holmes Sam Baker and all the sorry OL and DL draft picks and FAs. We can do better and that pretty much the popular opinion around here. AB should of canned his butt when he did the FO rebuild and maybe we’d have some rings by now

You know how many teams won multiple SBs since 2008? The Giants & Patriots. That's 2 teams out of 32. A grand total of 9 have won at least 1. Simply put, we should have taken care of business when had the chance because it's hard to even get there and win just 1.

Yea DQ and KS screwed that up and what’s wrong with wanting to win multiple SBs. TD has proven he nothing special

Exactly.   Thanks to their weak division they always get a 1st round bye and get 1, usually 2, playoff home games.   They get every advantage:  home field, reduced injury attrition, the ability to save some of the playbook until key moments, etc.  Meanwhile their NFC opponents practically killed themselves just getting there.

If Pittsburgh or Baltimore we’re in the AFC east all these years I guarantee the Pats would have 2 or 3 rings tops, not 6

Sometimes they get games like yesterday where the Bills have them finished and then quit playing in the last five mins.

I'm sorry, TD should have been fired with Sm ith. I've seen TD before Pioli and don't need to see him again after Pioli. He built the worst rosters known to man from 2011-2015. Then blamed Mike Smith. **** TD. Bye Felicia

And then there’s Jarrett, Mack, Matthews, Lindstrom (so far), etc.  some good, some bad.

No GM hits on every pick.  Dimitroff’s biggest fault is chasing veterans after a near miss season.   That seems to get us in the most trouble

The bottom line is AB controls that and if he chooses to not fire DQ and keeps TD around that’s fine, however I’ll bet you a Bennie if DQ goes TD goes and it wouldn’t surprise me if he goes regardless. AB gotta be tired of TD spending all his money on players like Carpenter and Brown and let’s not forget about Ray Edwards with that big ol 5 yr contract and was cut halfway thru the next yr. That’s just a few

Baker was a good olineman who anchored the offensive line on 2 different 13-3 number 1 seed teams.

His sole problem was staying healthy....but dude was a good line man.

Holmes was a bottom of the third round pick......

if GM's were judged by third round picks then every gm would be fired because at the most only about 25% of the the third round picks will be in tbe league 3 years later

Konz played pretty well as a rookie RG but was lost as a starter at center....part of that was him and part of that was a disconnect with the Oline coach Pat Hill ( who was the one who wanted Holmes because had coached him previously)

Konz showed improvement in limited snaps under Tice....but like the rest of our offensive line in 2014 he too got hurt.

I have often said that the single biggest flaw that TD has showed is the Staggering ability to pick guys who get hurt.

TD has picked a lot of good football players who simply could not stay on the field,  and when they were on the field they're often hampered buy some lingering injury...........Baker,Jerry,Moore,Spoon,Neal,Tru and others
