ATL_666
The potential replacements who are looking for jobs this year are not a good group. I am not impressed with Josh McDaniels or any of the other names that have been floated. I don't see any of these potential coaches getting us to a SB. I would just assume keep Quinn and if he can turn it around then great, if not then we see what next years group of potential coaches looks like. basscass
vel
It really isn't that cut and dry honestly. If they go 6-2 the second half of the season, then it's a real turnaround. Like I said previously, what would a new coach be brought in to do? Turn the team around. DQ will have essentially done that. If they were still trending for a 3-5 win type of season, then yea it's easy. I think more coaching turnover will be on the way, but I'm not sure DQ will be the one. At the end of the day, the players play for the HC and they are pounding the table to keep him and are winning for him. They lay one more egg and it's a wrap though. Snafu
If we keep DQ, whatever. We cant keep Koetter though. Just to play Devil's Advocate: Kyle was proven and Sark was new to the NFL. Neither of these guys had a historical record of ham-stringing their teams the way DK does. basscass, likeriver and EpicBird

andrews31cain21
IF DQ stays, he will Keep DK. He won't change OCs again. Plus who are you going to get to come in as OC knowing good and well, DQ is on thin ice and it may only be for 1 year. Quinn needs to go. Do not want another year of DK... or Quinn for that matter. He has embarrassed us enough. Edited December 22, 2019 by andrews31cain21
falconfansince66
I'm still undecided too. Beat the Jags and Bucs then I think we he deserves another year. But if we lose at home to the Jags today after beating the Niners away, then something's definitely amiss and I wouldn't hesitate to send him packing. Quinn still needs to win out to get to 7-9. Look at the Saints' coach, he went 7-9 three years in a row and they've now won the NFC South for three years in a row and we did beat them on their field last month. The problem is that the OL never had a chance to reach it’s full potential with injuries—this affected the running game and blocking. The OL has played much better with the return of our 1st draft. Next year, the OL will be in much better shape and this should help protecting Matty and the running game. No need to change OC- our production numbers have gone up to almost 27.5 points per game. We are #8 in scoring offense. We need to chill with the notion of keep firing OCs— Dirk will be here next year. JasonU
I believe Dan Quinn has learned and matured from this season - the brotherhood is good but only for the players - the coaches/leaders need to separate and teach the players to win at all cost. I recommend we keep him. FalconFan1st, Stevo and FalconsIn2012
