Poor game management....... again.

Recommended Posts

With 5 seconds left (Hooper non touchdown) in the game Quinn is clearly calling for the Falcons to go for 2. I think is another example of Quinn's inability to manage in game situations. I know that we make the right call 3 sec later, but that is because IMO there was enough time for someone to overrule another stupid Quinn decision. I haven't seen this posted, so I wanted to point it out. PS - If you want to see yourself it is shown in the NFL network highlight clip @ 10:24 mark.

how is this poor management? because he was calling for two after what he thought (and what should have been) the winning touchdown? no time comes off the clock on the PAT, whether it's going for two or not, the plan all along was to take the knee and avoid any chance of any type turnover, squib kick it and let the clock run out during the attempted return.  that's great 'management' as the chance of a game winning KO return TD are very marginal, so nah, you're wrong again

my god some of you people just go out of your freaking way to LOOK for something to ***** about don't you

and this is yet ANOTHER post proving there needs to be a 5000 post limit on starting threads

So, if I am understanding this right, the Falcons went up 23 to 22, and it is a mistake to go for 2? I would go for 2 in that situation EVERY TIME! Why wouldn't you want to go up 3, just in case of some fluke, crazy thing happening, that would/could only happen to us!

Yeah. Swing and a miss OP. Kicking a field goal does nothing. Even if they woulda attempted an actual play I doubt it’s anything other then a run. You don’t convert a field goal still beats you. You get it and make the other team score a TD to beat you. Odds are very low for the defense to score on a 2 point. Of course it happen with Eric Berry but I’d but the house it wouldn’t happen again

I think the 2 sign was meant to signal the offense to stay on the field. The play call would obviously be to take a knee.

Yep, he made the same signal after the Julio TD and we took a knee.  This is a nothing burger.  He was calling to do the same thing that we actually did after the Julio TD.

This site is such an embarrassment to the entire fanbase. The **** people complain about after a win of all things. It's Wednesday and you're really still complaining about a decision made during a win.

Something that has no truth or substance behind it either. :bang::bang:

I can see a case for either TBH.

However if it’s a turnover and they return it you lose the game like KC in 16.

Why would you go for 2 with 2 seconds on the clock? Once you kick it to them the time would either run out or they would run it back for a TD. Not enough time to get a FG. So 3 point lead does nota!!! Quinn panics and he needs to get a grip. I was like somebody tackle Quinn do what ever it takes but don't let him try a 2 point conversion!!

Confident the plan was for it to be knelt the whole time.

You need the 2pt conversion team out there to do that.

Really? That was the perfect decision to take a knee instead of risking a turnover or blocked kick and them winning like that or tying it up
