I’m pretty sure we got the best player in that draft in the 5th round.  If the draft was redone, where do you see him being drafted?  And is Vic taken in the first round?

Arik Armstead and Bud Dupree are finally starting to look like good players though.

God the 15 draft was bad.  If you do a redraft of the players over the last five years combined, I don’t know that more than 2-3 of those guys go in the first.

Like anything with the draft, nothing is a guarantee.  Best way to hit is to have more picks, second best way is to have a higher pick.  Those are just the odds, doesn’t guarantee anything.

Exactly.  The more top 120 picks you can accumulate the better off you’ll be.

There were no good QBs, Frank Clark and Tre Flowers have been good to really good pass rushers, two good CBs in Marcus Peters and Byron Jones, two good but not elite WRs in Lockett and Cooper, no really good offensive tackles, no really good linebackers, guards and I would never take a safety or RB that high in the first round.  So I could realistically see him going top five, and it’s debatable that he may be the biggest impact player in that draft.

I don’t think he goes #1 because Tampa had McCoy and Spence (just drafted two years prior), Jurrell Casey was playing well for Tennessee so they may not address 3tech, but Jacksonville had no one at the time as it was prior to their free agent spending spree, so without any trades, and knowing Tampa and Tennessee had too many holes to address BPA, I would say #3 is realistic.

Probably the most impressive improvement for Vic Beasley from 2018 to 2019 is his missed tackle percentage. In 2018, Beasley missed 35.5% of his tackles, his 5.9% percentage in 2019 is a drastic improvement.

Hence the “nothing is a guarantee” comment.  Browns skew the odds in favor of the negative because of how many bad choices and how poorly that organization has been run, the Patriots skew things towards the positive as what they do hasn’t been able to be replicated.  Both franchises over the last 20 years are bad examples in either direction because of that, lol.

Danielle Hunter has turned into a beast. I don’t think there was any other DL in that draft that I would put in the same conversation with Grady.
