I want Quinn

I would love to keep Quinn one more season. They fight /play hard for him I think Kutter should get another year also. We have played better offense  throughout as of late KS didn't look good year one. Tomas needs to go. To many bust with higher draft picks after the first round.

Koetter should absolutely NOT get another year. Was a lazy hire from the get-go. Also TD can kick rocks but him and Quinn are a package deal so if you want Quinn you're keeping TD as well.

If Quinn gets another year Koetter stays IF he was a Quinn hire.

If he was an AB hire then Koetter could be gone, but DQ can't survive another OC firing if he was the one who brought him in.

I agree with you, to me the biggest problem we've had as a team since Matt and Julio have been here is the revolving door at OC.  We aren't stable so therefore, we continue to bring ppl in and force them away from their strengths (call plays like Kyle, or run Kyle's offense with your twist on it).

They fought and played hard for Smitty too.

I look back and regret Smith's firing, and I'm not endorsing the OP's view on this, but I don't remember it this way.  My recollection is this team laid down especially toward the end of 2014.  We played the Panthers for the division in that last game, and got smoked 34-3. The team played like it didn't care.  They laid down.

Well shlt Blank came out and said he was being fired. At that point, I get it.

Granted.  But that wasn't the only time, and seriously -- you have a shot to win the division and you just lay down?  I don't care if your coach is being fired.  You laid down in a game that could have sent you to the playoffs.

Fully agree there. Just saying I get it a little from the players perspective. When you're fighting for something, a little adversity doesn't deter you. See: Niners game from Sunday. When you aren't, any little bit of adversity throws you off and it's over. That's what happened.

Shannahan’s scheme is much more complex than Dirks, he also had a track record of getting the best play out of his QBs.  He got the only good year out of RG3, he made Matt Schaub look competent.  Dirk has never done that, instead he is known for having one of the worst run games in the league every year.

Yes, ONE MORE SEASON --- but, on a VERY SHORT leash!!!  Mainly, because I'm intrigued to see if this recent surge is "real", or just an outlier.  So if I had any say so in the matter, I would keep everything EXACTLY like it is right now, otherwise, you won't know which one it is.
Also, I'd keep Dimitroff, too....you can't separate them and expect to get an accurate assessment of the situation!

If we get beat by the Jags I think hire Mike McCarthy offer Quinn DC job,  if we win out keep Quinn.

I don't understand the short leash thing and it's not just you saying it, so I'm not singling you out necessarily.  If the intention of AB is to keep DQ, but on a "short leash" then why keep him at all?  If the noose is already around the neck with owner's hand on the lever, what's the point?  You risk wasting yet another year of Matt and Julio (granted, if you move on there is always that risk as well) and it almost seems defeatist that Quinn won't be able to live up to expectations which means all you are really doing is delaying the inevitable a year and flushing yet another year down the toilet.

This isn't like a contract to hire situation where the owners want to try before they buy so to speak, it's been 5 years, you know what you have in Quinn.  If you have to trot him out under a trial basis, to me, you have your answer as to whether or not he is the long term solution.

I wouldn't be surprised if Quinn gets another year as HC. I just wish whoever the head coach, OC & DC are that they will take a page out of the Ravens book and come up with play calls that play to the strength's of the players the Falcons have rather than having them try and learn a new scheme and do things they are not accustom to doing. I think that's been a big part of the problem.
