Snafu
Felt like everything was stacked against us. Almost as if the universe (Or mainly the NFL Exec's) wanted us to lose that game. So many BS calls that completely changed the dynamic of the game. And we still pull it out!!!!! Dont mistake this for me wanting to keep DQ by any means, because I dont, but this win felt really really really really good. Like one of those "GTFO my Field" type of wins. ryanadonis
If not Quinn, than who else leads this team to beat the 49ers? Only two teams this year have beaten the 49ers and one of those wins was in OT. TXAintsHater, GrimeyKidd, poutlipper and 8 others

That aside, there were still some very apparent issues despite the win, I just choose to focus on the fact that we won. Matt and Julio just put this team on their back and carried us to a win. Dont see this win as having much to do w/ DQ by any means. In sports, and organizations in general, there are teams and people that have successes in spite of the poor leadership/management that's above them. LMAO Don't you get more pissed off at Quinn with win like this on the road against division leaders? I mean this Falcons obviously has the talent in order to beat good team like NO and SF on the road. So WTF did they go 1-7 in the first 8 games? You don't go 1-7 unless you are just devoid of talents...or poorly coached. So sorry if we don't give Quinn a pad on the back for these wins. What a waste of a season! rugger8

That’s a ridiculous statement. They did look very well coached today. No Calvin Ridley, so we had to insert Blake and he had some bad penalties. The OL played really well today against a very tough front. Barner had a fumble, but ST’s looks like it has drastically improved. The defense lost Trufant, Takk, and Foye, and still held the 49ers to only 200 yards passing on 34 attempts with only 22 points. This was a team win. Defense was making plays on the ball. Did I mention this was an outdoor away game across the country against arguably the best NFC team? Offensive gameplan was terrible, defense let Kittle carry SF and never adjusted to even try to stop him and the botched Onside kick despite likely practicing all week. I disagree with you about ST drastically improved. They committed at least 3 penalties that I could remember, one of which wiped out an onside recover. I mean how do you come out of the half for an onside kick but only has 10 men on the field? Doesn't someone(usually the kicker) count the number of players on both side of the ball before the kick? Overall I just thought ST was terrible today and almost costed them the game. Snafu

Just because you say it doesn’t make it true They have the #1 overall defense in the entire league. 264 yards per game. 17 points per game. We had no Calvin Ridley. Hung 23 and 300 yards, not counting the 6 to end the game. That defense at home held the Packers to 8. Only 2 teams scored over 20 @SF all season. Why do you bring up our injuries and not acknowledge theirs? Sherman and Dee Ford were HUUUUGE losses for them.
