Is it just me, or is anyone else just getting triggered beyond belief when we now play well?

Yep, thought so.

"WHY NOW? Where the F**K has that been? How many mexican supplements did the D# take against the eagles? Why are torpedoing our draft stock again?! WHO GAVE KOETTER A HEADSET?"

Sorry Cueball, bye Felicia.

I usually stick my weary vote in the "keep consistency in the FO and coaching as long as possible" ballot box, but this year changed that in me. Big time.

Our second best coach of all time has got to go.

Black Monday.

Mark it. (TD should get a pass. On to that later. Cueball, you're up first.)

I was so confident in our 53 this year. More than I have been in a decade. I think back to adult beverage fuelled proclamations:

 "this is our year"

"Takk is gonna get 12+"

"the dome will be at more than 12% capactiy at kickoff!!!"

Sigh. Good times. Simpler times..

To see us stink up the joint as badly as we did opening night was truly painful. And it was definitely down to coaching and the initial shock of injuries, again. And apart from brief outliers, it has continued all year. Thank jeebus for #2, even though half of TATF will never really get that(stay on point ffs).

Q has never shown himself to be a 'rah-rah' coach, but there have been over 792 opportune, nay necessary moments to lose his ISH and light a fire on the sidelines... but he never does. Go and hold Devondre Campbell accountable ONE TIME for a missed assignment, or maybe chew out Vic/Takk for not playing like their braids were on fire for the first half of the season? Also, Daniel, your taste in assistant coaches is pretty trash recently.

Us loveable lot at TATF are wrong 99% of the time, and normally I take comfort in knowing that we collectively know nothing, Jon Snow, about coaching strategy/depth chart... Normally we champion someone and they vanish never to see the light of day, but I can't help but think we hit on a few obvious ones that Q missed.

"Move Kazee back to FS yesterday please..."

Oh look, leading the league in INTs again. But yea, we definitely needed see Ish line up out of place and 7 seconds off the pace first for a few weeks.

"Errr that Gono fella sure looked good in PS, maybe give him a shot?"

came in an jacked people up, and the guys next to him (with Lindstrom doing the same, good job TD) had their best games of the year....

Inconsistency, and the fact that handing over playcalling vastly improved the D# has got to see Q go. Really likeable guy and I'll remember him fondly, for the most part. But this squad has truly been wasted. And that is really the biggest waste. Nothing is worse than knowing you had the squad to make it to the big game, and we fell woefully, woefully short.

As for TD... He's our best ever GM. Undeniable.

Objectively, I've been a big fan of his intellect, and actually he's drafted some of my favourite ever falcons. I don't truly hate any of his drafts, and he's made some great moves in FA (and not so great, like every other GM). Just because the dude rides a bike doesn't mean he doesn't have balls. Refer to the JJ trade. But also refer to going BPA to get Rid, pulling the trigger on Matt, trading back in to get Kaleb (that is going to be huge, trust me), KeKe in the first, Grady in the 5th. I could go on. Have we had the best ever FA under him? Far from it. He's been about average and has never had huge cap space to go crazy anyway. I put the FA OL of Carp/Brown on Blank. 100%. If I could give TD one criticism, it's that he seems to be a people pleaser. Blank gets his OL, Smitty got his guys, so did Q (twice). Maybe a touch more cojones wouldn't hurt...

He should hire the next coach and have his job on it.

Yeah if you can follow all the ups and downs of this team with equanimity, then you have a lot of Yo-Yo in your DNA. When we do play well these days, it's nice, but also frustrating for sure.

If we're not going to make the play-offs, I'd just as soon have a top three draft pick as an extra 3 meaningless wins. Either way there's a great chance that we'll just keep on flying in a perpetual holding pattern, somewhere below Lombardi level.

It just makes no sense for the future of the team to win any more games this year. Why, just why are we doing that. We should be roster assessing.

2015 - Streaks of 5 wins and 6 losses

2016 - DQs best season for many reasons, 2 streaks of 4 wins and never lost more than 2 straight.

2017 - A couple of 3 win streaks and a stretch where we lost 4 out of 5, including losses to the Bills and Dolphins

2018 - Two 3 win streaks to go with a streak of 5 losses and another of 3 losses

2019 - A 1-7 start then came out 2nd half of season 3-2

I have come to the conclusion that ups and downs are just a way of life with DQ.

I don't fully understand it.  It's disappointing & aggravating.

I'm done with DQ.  I don't know how to feel about TD.  These guys look great at times.  Those flashes make me wonder if the talent is there and the coaching is pissing it away.  Then again, maybe it's time to clean house with a new GM & new staff.

All I know for sure is, in 5 seasons DQ has losing streaks of 6, 3, 3, 5 & 6.  It is very hard to be a perennial playoff team when in 3 of your 5 seasons you have losing streaks that match or are greater than a typical playoff teams loss total for the season.

Personally I'm glad to see the players fighting for their coach.  If the team had completely given up, that would be concerning for the future.

As far as DQ goes, he knows he's coaching for his job (at best) so I certainly don't see him playing young guys with the future in mind, when his job is on the line.
