none of those old bama teams early on w/ Saban would win Nattys now.   The dominant defense and good running offense alone won't win you a Natty with just a few big pass plays mixed in.

Clemson and Ohio State both have really good defenses and I promise you the winner of that game will likely score 30 points or more if weather conditions are good.

UGA defense actually played well versus LSU for 2 1/2 quarters but UGA offense simply gave the defense no chance because they couldn't stay on the field and score.

They played well most of the game. The problem was the defensive game plan. Stingley is a whole lot better in press man coverage than in zone. Our offense hasn't looked well against a lot of teams.
