UnrealfalcoN
I swear people are happy with our current staff being replaced by any randos from the street. I hope DQ and TD dont get fired if we are seriously going to hire guys that have fizzled in other places or have retired a decade ago ATLSlobberKnockers, Boise Falcon Fan, Rings and 2 others

Summerhill
Caldwell would not be my first choice but I am sympathetic to what he just did in Detroit having now seen two seasons of Matt Patricia. if I’m going to be sold on Tony Dungy, it would have to be as team president. I don’t think he would want the grind of what it is to be GM but he is a great judge of people. Falconsfan567
LOL!!! This message board is a freaking joke. Don't want Jim Caldwell but want Ron Rivera? WTF is wrong the people here? Caldwell >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rivera Jim Caldwell = 62-50 (Regular Season), 2-4 (Postseason) - 5 Winning Seasons out of 7 (4 Playoff Appearances) Ron Rivera = 76-63-1 (Regular Season), 3-4 (Postseason) - 3 Winning Seasons out of 9 (4 Playoff Appearances) Give me Jim Caldwell over Ron Rivera in a heartbeat. I'd gladly take Caldwell as coach and Dungy as GM in a heartbeat. Falcons Fan MVP, Faithful Falcon, me4falcons and 1 other

Da_Truth
Naw. Don't know how Dungy would be as GM, but Tim Ruskell (think he's available) was heavily involved in building that TB championship defense. Falcons need an offensive minded HC who can take advantage of the multitude of offensive weapons this team has--along with in a DC with a reputation of solid defenses. Falconsfan567
Boy we've got lots of stupid people on here that some reason think Jim Caldwell is a bad HC. All you have to do is look at what he did in Detroit to see that the guy is a great HC. *2014 = 11-5 2015 = 7-9 *2016 = 9-7 2017 = 9-7 TOTAL = 36-28 (2 Playoff Appearances) Look at what other coaches have done in Detroit before and after Caldwell. 2001 = 2-14 2002 = 3-13 2003 = 5-11 2004 = 6-10 2005 = 5-11 2006 = 3-13 2007 = 7-9 2008 = 0-16 2009 = 2-14 2010 = 6-10 *2011 = 10-6 2012 = 4-12 2013 = 7-9 2018 = 6-10 2019 = 3-9-1 TOTAL = 69-167-1 (1 Playoff Appearance) Summerhill, Mr.11 and Faithful Falcon

Jim Caldwell strikes me as a Mike Smith type of HC and right now the Falcons need someone like that. The Falcons are one of the worst fundamental sound teams in the NFL and one of the most penalized. We definitely need someone to clean that crap up and Caldwell strikes me as a guy who would do just that. Faithful Falcon

I don't apology for what I said if that is what you're expecting here. When I see a thread saying we should hire Ron Rivera and it gets many yes votes but Jim Caldwell gets many no votes it just doesn't make one lick of sense. I'm posting from a place of fact and reality. Caldwell >>>>>>> Rivera. In fact, not one person in this thread has posted one reason why Caldwell is a bad HC and would be a terrible HC and why they don't want him. All I've seen in this thread is no. I actually posted facts that support Caldwell as a good HC. Chitown2ATL_Falcon

If that's the case then you and every single other person to ever post here is a child. Now onto facts, 62-50 with 5 winning seasons out of 7 is now just a boring .500 coach? Bill Belichick is one of the most boring coaches in the history of coaching and it's worked out pretty well for him. I don't know about you but I want to win. I don't give a **** about the personality of the coach. Guess you rather have Mike Ditka or Jim Mora as HC because they give silly post game press conference answers when they lose games. Guess that makes you feel like they "care" more or something. The only person "upset" here is you. Chitown2ATL_Falcon
