Do yall want Quinn fired?

If we had consistently played the entire second half like we did right after the bye in New Orleans, bring him back.

But we didn’t. We reverted to pre-bye form at home, against the BUCS.

This team has zero consistency under the current regime. To me, that spells the end for the head coach.

This is what I have learned from Dan Quinn. We will have a game like washington last year, then follow it up with Cleveland. We'll beat the brakes off the Saints and Panthers ON THE ROAD then get butt rapped at home by the Bucs. Who's fault was the 9 sacks over those 2 games? I believe Quinn has shown that he is a winner with the right staff. So who's fault is this staff? Who picked Sark and Koetter? Who made the call to have Quinn double as DC?

This is where I am too.  And if the answer is Quinn, fire him yesterday.

If not, then whoever made those calls (or, honestly, any of them) ought to be at least as responsible.

I am convinced of this though -- it isn't simple.  My bet is it's a mish-mash of all those things.

Can’t use the Saints game.  We were without Julio & Hooper.  We played tough for a half but had no chance.  I’ll be interested to see our performance next week.  I think it will be a close game

You know, what I realize is that I have no idea who is to blame for what's going on with this team.  I get the significant impression that Quinn did not want to fire all of his coordinators last off-season.  I believe that choice was made by either TD or Blank.  I know which one is getting on camera and declaring players, "Falcon's for life," during contract negotiations.  It also seems kinda obvious that DK wasn't Quinn's pick for OC.  I think that Quinn picked Sark, and I'm starting to feel like he wasn't wrong to pick him.  Sark made progress in year 2, and his OL was trash.

I also question the Raheem Morris move to offense.  Why on earth would you have one of your best defensive coaches, coaching offense?  Does a head coach, who's trying to win, do that kind of thing?  Quinn, apparently had to beg Blank to get Morris back on defense?

It seems to me that the guy calling all of the shots is Blank, and that's a recipe for disaster.  Blank needs to let the guys he hired, do their jobs.

Sure you can, Quinn put this team behind the 8 ball, the got beat pretty bad regardless of missing players. Excuses have run out.

Sorry about my wording but that’s not the point of my post. I don’t mean the second half of the second Saints game.

I mean if we had played the second half of the season like we did the FIRST game against the Saints. Rather than turning around to lose to the Bucs at home.

This is an argument for why you don't always wait until the end of the season to fire a head coach.  The fact that this is a question to some is comical at this stage.  Yes, DQ absolutely needs to go.  (So does TD but that's a separate topic)

These meaningless wins mean nothing.

I think we have since the 2nd half of the Seahawks game.

TB is always tough cause Quinn can’t really gameplan mobile QB’s.  No clue why, but it appears to be so.

Yes, overall he's been too inconsistent with all these bad streaks at points throughout seasons. With Mike Smith, we never had back to back losses in his first 5 seasons except for when Matt was injured. We were dominate against the AFC, two 13 wins seasons, 2 division titles, and 4 playoff births overall.

What separates Dan Quinn from Mike Smith, and it's the only thing, and it's an important thing, is that Quinn overall was more successful in the playoffs. Now what if I say. Dan Quinn without Kyle Shanahan, 1 playoff win. Mike Smith never having Kyle Shanahan, 1 playoff win.

Mike Smith dug Atlanta out of that 2007 hole and had to build around a young Matt Ryan. Dan Quinn had the benefit of already having an experienced Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. While Mike Smith had more playoff games & losses, Dan Quinn has had more .500 or worse seasons than Mike Smith in his first 5 seasons so we never got to see how Quinn would have been if we were a playoff team in 2015, 2018, or this season.

Division games are important, but overall, every team on your schedule is important, because division winners go by overall record first before tiebreakers, and if you can't beat the AFC, you're likely not going to win your division. Dan Quinn went 3-1 vs. the AFC in 2015, but since 2016, we've had a losing record vs. the AFC each season (including the Super Bowl) and it's gotten worse and worse. We only have 1 AFC home win in the past 7 seasons which is unacceptable for this franchise, I can't think of any franchise who's has a worse cross conference home record than the Falcons in the past 7 seasons. Name one?

The AFC record drives me up the wall. We have lost to some really shat AFC teams. Like straight up turrble teams. Why? Why can we go to toe to toe to Green Bay or Seattle but can't beat Miami or Cleveland?

At this point, as much as I like Quinn, I don't think he's likely to be the answer. Big culture shift is needed in this org. But again, it really depends on how much interference there has been from other people. Without Koetter, I genuinely think this team is 9-4 instead of 4-9. The defense played well enough to win every game since the bye and several before that. How much say did Quinn have in the Koetter hire? That's the biggest question. And if they're a package deal, he has to go, period.

Everything I've seen says this decision wasn't his. FFS, he was DC for the Seahawks when we went 10-22 with Koetter and no run game, then clobbered the Bucs with him as their HC. He wanted a ZBS run game and WCO guy and brings in DK? Then gives interviews that makes it clear he hardly knew the guy beforehand? It feels off. It's a bunch of guys AB, TD, and McKay knew. That's hardly a coincidence. But he'll probably bite the bullet all the same. I guess we'll see.
