izibit74
If Dan Quinn is fired. he should be first choice. He has great defenses. We keep the core of the team and build off of it Champagne
SkerFalcon8710
Yea wouldnt even be mad w his defenses and he would have a legitimate qb to lead the offense. GeorgiaBoyz, MoFalconsFan56, Emmitt and 1 other
Lethal
I don't want another DC as HC, but I don't completely hate it. I would trust him to deliver an actual nfl defense much more than Quinn and others who would be up for the job. I want a offensive mind though. Hmmm I'd rather have Rivera than McCarthy. Absolutely. Perhaps not my first choice but I would be OK with it. Then maybe get the OC from the Saints to be our OC/ASST HC. Weaken two of our opponents and strengthen ourselves.
Dr Long Shot
He's probably the safest available choice right now. Very good coach. MoFalconsFan56 and Emmitt

marvinthemartian
Nothing but respect for Rivera as a player, coach and man as opposed to the man running things in New Orleans (Payton) Atl Falcon, Refried Beans, jas82487 and 1 other

My sentiments exactly...but Ron wouldn't be the worst. I am super gunshy though coming off back to back DCs. At least Rivera has done it before, he is a known commodity as a HC. He has led up some solid defenses though during his time. I'm not advocating for him necessarily, but overall they had some really good defenses there. I'd be thrilled with really good. octoslash
Rivera would be fine, if we're willing to settle for more mediocrity, and a playoff appearance every three or four years. mountain_jim3, FalconJim, NCFalconfan and 1 other
IfTheBirdsCouldTalk
Maybe as our HC & McCarthy as the OC.. Should keep our SC cause i dont remember our last punt return td before this year not to mention the three successful onside kicks..

k-train
Panthers only had more than 7 wins in three of Rivera's nine years there. That is terrible. Really not sure why you all think this dude is something special. Maybe he'd be serviceable as a DC, but absolutely not as HC. mountain_jim3, Iron Saint, ATLFalcons11 and 2 others
stizz
This team definitely needs a succesful vet coach with experience and not some young hotshot. Rivera, McCarthy and Rex Ryan would all be solid hires. Any of those hires and we would immediately see turnaround next year in results. Roanoke Falcon
I would be good with Riverboat Ron as HC. I might prefer a hot WC-ish style offensive mind as HC, with Ron as DC/Asst. Head Coach.

Not even as good as I thought. I know, he DID take the Panties to the SB once, but lost (same as us). And seems like Carolina won a couple of Playoff games, too, while he was there (we won more). He also had a winning record in the regular season. But I'm not that impressed with him as a HC....and when I think about the possibility, it just gives me a bad taste in my mouth --- lol... Now I reserve the right to change my mind, but, right now, McCarthy would be my choice, if DQ is indeed fired ---- He's a SB Winner, with a wealth of experience and is offensive-minded, which is what we need at this point of Matt and Julio's career!!! thanat0s

Seems like, one time when we were between Head coaches, we wined him & dined him, and in the end he flat turned us down! So, I don't think we'd go down that road again. Besides, he always struck me as a "loud mouth, blow hard", who seemed to thrive on controversy, and who's time has come and gone --- sorry, but that's just my opinion...
