1st 5th or 31st..... it doesn't matter!!

Recommended Posts

As long as Thomas Dimitroff is pulling the trigger..  :bang:

As much as I'd love to have Chase Young here , I realize that I'm a Falcons fan... which means I know that some how some way we will win games and be in the 6-9 spot...

I also know that Dimitroff has set us back at least 3 years..

I can only hope that the new GM has a great mind and can build a perennial power team..

I want a team that makes the playoffs 4 outta 5 years, who continues to be a team that in superbowl conversation every year..

I think Blank is the owner that will do what's needed to be that type of organization..

Next year will be the first time ,in years, that I'm not looking forward to the start of the season.. :(.   This season has sucked so badly that I've only watched about 5 games...

We as forum brothers and sister only want what's best for our team... even if its tanking, winning ,trading up or back,.... we have the pieces now let's just hire the guys who can put the pieces together!!!

Just a question.

If McGary takes a step forward next year and Lindstrom looks good, will the verdict still be to fire TD?

By that time the decision will have already been made.

But if he blew those picks.... then the Ryan era may be officially done by the time they recover from it.

1st pick, 5th pick, 15th pick.  Doesn't matter.

Blank blew it with the Quinn hire and wasted the prime years of Ryan and Julio.

I’m actually really confident in Lindstrom. Think about it, all he’s got to do is be better than carpenter/brown/schweitzer and he’ll be good enough.

If McGary can’t take that step forward then it’s gonna be rough trying to salvage together a decent OL with not much draft capital.

thats why we gotta trade back if the offers good enough. If it ain’t Chase or Delpit, then we need multiple players that can come in and play.

Since Lindstrom missed almost his entire rookie season his growth is going to be stunted.

For where he was picked he can't just be better than those guys.  He has to be much better.

And it doesn't help how much those guys are getting paid either.

TD is as good as gone, dude. This thread is a moot point.

And how can he have set us back three years, when his draft picks had us in the Superbowl three years ago?

Short of Rich McKay, everybody not in cleats is done at Flowery Branch.

Our salary cap will have set us back... it's also not about who he drafted, but about who he didnt draft or what FA he didnt go after.  Players who he decided to pay instead of let go... players he let go that he shouldve kept.

Slow your roll. It is not a definite that TD is gone. AB loves him and he runs everything by AB so he may be just as much fault as TD. Maybe TD doesn't need to go? I just wish we would hire someone as either GM and /or HC who wouid stand up to TD and AB for that matter. But that is difficult to go against the bosses son or  against your Boss. Think about it can you do that at your job?

Uh, yeah? You hire football people who have talent and vision, not a yes man, and if that is the case for the Falcons,(which I could see) it explains a lot.
