@Nobis_Ghost I see 5 - Steve Young, Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers,  Roger Staubach, John Elway...look up the stats yourself lol.

Nah dude, mobile only applies when they're black. Heard ANOTHER poster refer to Jameis Winston as mobile yesterday, good lord the idiocy.

Here's a better question: How many has Ryan won?

I guess we’d need to define mobile QB first.  Are we calling Young, Elway & Rodgers mobile?

Absolutely. Especially Elway and Young.
mobile doesn’t mean Scrambling...like Cunningham, Vick, Jackson etc.

Staubach was also mobile...you could argue Big Ben was mobile before his body broke down. And Hostetler.

Yes, I would call these mobile.

Mobile QB, in my mind based on what I hear analysts say, means a QB who can escape the pocket and still make plays. Steve Young, John Elway, Aaron Rodgers, and Russell Wilson are considered mobile QBs.

I may be wrong, though. . .

Before Golden State how many 3 shooting teams won championships ? This an old way of thinking the NFL is evolving right before our eyes there will be a day when Tom Brady no longer plays in the NFL and if you look at college and HS football (which I do) there are more QBs like Lamar, Mahomes, even Daniel Jones who are “mobile” coming up than strait drop back passers

He did enough to win one. The defense failed him in the second half. It’s a team sport. I’m not defending OP either just making an easy observation.

I think the coaching failed him. The defense held the Pats to 3 points through 3 quarters. The defense played enough snaps the equivalent of 1.5 full quarters of football. They were exhausted, which is a valid excuse in my mind.

Lol...I remember people assuming the same about Leftwhich who was as mobile as a brick wall.

I know. He had a great season in 2016. But I cannot *stand* when people act like mobile QBs can't win Super Bowls because Ryan is as immobile as they come and here he is with zero rings. It's the organization that counts, but just because a QB is more athletic does not mean he is a worse passer.

I’ll say this. There’s gotta be a pure definition amongst the board on what’s considered mobile vs scrambling. As of today, there’s only one scrambling qb in the league. Mobile qbs aren’t in the same class imo.

with that said, within the next 15 years, no matter how much we may dislike scrambling or mobile, more Super Bowls will be won by them leading into the future due to high schools and colleges not truly teaching qbs how to play traditionally anymore. Just the way it is
