Xfactor
I’m watching football and see Schaub’s name scroll by with yards and a TD. Did Ryan get banged up ? Did Ryan get benched ? Not possible Did Quinn give up ? *Old Pappy Falcon*
JDaveG
Quinn gave up. Not unreasonably. Ryan spent the entire game getting killed. He took a sack that resulted in a fumble and score for them. We weren't going to win. Quinn pulled him and put Schaub in. I don't have a problem with it. I have a problem with everything that led up to it. Oh a **** you Quinn After watching the beating that he took, he should have been happy. All jokes aside, yeah he's tough as nails and is the definition of competitor but it wouldn't have served him any purpose to stay in after that touchdown. Quinn made the right call imo. Now the decision that I question was leaving Julio in when he was clearly hurting. They showed Graham grab his shoulders and Julio pulled away from him. That could have led to something more serious. Play action was predictable, both tackles struggled, zero RB screens, no misdirection, a ton of snaps out of shotgun, a lot of long developing route concepts, a ton of 1-1 personnel, even threw out a 1-0 on a 3rd and 16. Drbob
Offensive line is a joke. Ryan was getting the crap beat out of him. Julio should not have been playing he was hurt. This team is a done turkey stick a fork in this season and move on. BUBBASBEANS
octoslash
Quinn saved Ryan from ending up in the morgue, that's what happened. That game yesterday reminded me of the Cleveland game last year. When we hit two big plays but then couldn't punch it in from the 7 yard line, you could just feel it...uh-oh, today the Bad Falcons showed up. He isn't going to throw anyone under the bus, but he is still human and I know he at least has some not so pleasant thoughts about yesterday's oline. But Ryan wanted Koetter back. That is the ONLY reason Blank would vouch for bringing him back. To satisfy his QB.

Is it just me or did they get away from the quick passing game that has done then most successful this year and gotten back to the long drawn out plays that take forever to set up? It seemed like Ryan was sitting in the pocket waiting for the play to develop and it caused him to have to take so many hits and sacks sunday. Unnecessary. Tampa did a lot of what Philly attempted. Jam the box and go blitz crazy. The difference is the Philly game Koetter made solid timely adjustments all game. When they crammed the box, he tried to go over the top early. We hit 1 of 3. Not bad. Then when we simply couldn't pass block, he went to quick hitters. He never seemed to go to the quick hitters yesterday. Contrary to what I usually prefer, which is continue to pound the run, I would've gone 5 wide, shotgun hurry up the entire 4th quarter. Similar to the Matt BC vs. Va. Tech classic game. Put the game entirely in Matt's hands. Wear their D out with pace and QUICK routes. Count on getting a roughing call or two. There's no point leaving Hill in to pass block if he can't catch a guy shooting straight through the A gap. Might as well get another target on the field. federicofalcon2

Nope , because he actually cant keep up the pace with getting hit so much. He's going to fall off very soon , you can already see that some this season. I didn’t see how the coaches pulling him when the game was over equated to him all of a sudden not being able to play as long. I think he has 3-5 more in him personally. How good those last couple will be are yet to be seen. as durable as he has been, I agree the latter years won’t be as good if they can’t protect him better. That’s just Father Time..nobody holds up as well at 40 as they do at 20...I sure can attest to that and I have a desk job lol.
