Will Ryan Be the Only NFC South QB Back Next Year?

Of the current starting 4 QB's in the NFC South at present, one has to wonder which ones will be around next year.

Ryan is on a long term contract and after a little downturn early this year, his production has been the usual the last couple of weeks.  His likelihood of returning next year as the Falcons starter is extremely high unless major changes arise.

Jameis Winston probably should not have been left around in Tampa for this season and probably is playing his last games there.  I really would not be surprised to see Tampa replace him either with a stopgap veteran or high draft pick.  The Dolphins and Bucs might both be drafting high QB's in next year's draft with an inter-state rivalry developing as to which one ends up being the better pick.  Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts, Jacob Eason, Jake Fromm could all be playing against us next year.

Kyle Allen had a good start in Carolina but has already turned the local fans against him.  He might be a solid backup QB but probably should not be a starter in the NFL.  As for Cam Newton, I really sense he is injured far beyond what he will admit and would be in a wheelchair if he started next season.  Newton's contract is also very favorable for the Panthers to let him go no matter how much they worship him.  As for who starts in place of Allen or Newton, they will not want to rebuild yet with so many veterans on the team at present, so a veteran QB seems most logical=Trubisky? Dalton? EManning? Prescott?

Drew Brees has played many years and is probably near retirement.  If the Saints were to finish with a major playoff run, he would probably consider it his finale.  On the other hand, a big falloff to this year might really have Saints fans calling for him to retire.  There is also the Teddy Bridgewater factor who had a great run in Brees' absence and will want to start somewhere next year.  If Brees is still starting next year, Bridgewater will likely be gone-would the Saints prefer one more season of Brees or many more seasons of Bridgewater?

I think all but Winston will be back. Drew Brees wants to keep playing, he just seems like a guy who has too much unfinished business. The Panthers are already missing Cam. Matt Ryan is the best Falcons QB ever, and the haters will just have to keep sucking it for years to come.

Brees will be back if his arm don’t fall off. Many has predicted it would have by now but the little devil just keeps on keeping on. Sure hope he doesn’t plan to play til he’s 45 like the GOAT. I’ve had enough of this cat.

I want him to play till 45. You know How much I thoroughly love seeing him get beat by us? Don't care one way or not......but you gotta admit he brings the excitement when we are playing great!

I hope he does....I’d love for Brees to play another 5 years. He’s 100% living off reputation at this point. He’s not even close to the same player he was

Me personally I’d rather play Bridgewater. Idt Brees makes it another 5 yrs. The hate for him from the Atl fans discounts the respect he should get. The dude is one of the greatest all time first time HOF regardless of him being a Saint. The sooner he retires the happier I’ll be.
