If DQ stays what about TD?

197 posts in this topic

AB will have a tough decision to make if we finish the season strong. Last time he fired Smitty and kept TD. This time will he fire TD and keep DQ, or will he keep both, or will he clean house? I believe it's all or nothing. But if he fires TD and keeps DQ I think the new GM is either George Paton or Trent Kirchner.

While fans have pushed the eject button AB has remained cool calm and collected and slow played this.

Smart he hasn’t  panicked or reacted quickly.Hes given the guys he’s hired every chance to right the ship.Thats why the rest of the season is very important to see if there are futures for the mentioned.

Arthur Blank to ESPN on his team after beating Carolina: “We’ve had two great games in a row. Today, it was great to see all three phases step it up. Our defense has been really spectacular the last two weeks. Eleven sacks in the last two games, and four picks today, so that’s about as well as we can play on defense. I think the whole team has done a great job, players and coaches. We’ve got to keep it up.’’ Falcons now 3-7 and 2-0 in NFC South going into next Sunday’s game vs. Tampa Bay (3-7).

TD isn’t being fired and was never in jeopardy of being fired.

I’ve been saying this since all the fire everyone talk started. TD has assembled a talented roster it just took the coaching staff half a season to realize how to best utilize that talent. These dominant performances the past 2 weeks just a bolsters TD’s standing. The sooner fans realize that no GM in history has ever built a roster with all pro players at every position at one time the sooner they can move on realize that TD is a top 3-5 GM in this league.

These last 2 games it sure looks like this is a talented team.

Why would you fire the GM when the 1-7 record was due to ****** coaching?

Go back and watch the “talent” under execute in those games. Rooks, sophomores and vets.

Unfortunately if we win out with the roster as is might create the narrative that coaching, and not talent, was the issue. Which could save TD’s job.

People around the league never questioned our talent. Talent is here, and TD is a big part of that talent being here. The talent just needed better execution with some coaching adjustments to go along.

When you outscore your division rivals 55-12 and someone still finds a reason to cry.

Who under executed exactly? You said rooks, sophomores, and vets so I expect at a minimum of 6 guys to be listed here.

The bolded is where Blank is. DQ has to finish the second half of the season at least 6-2. Nothing less.
