People like Crawford & Bsiley are starting to flash again.  The stunts are getting home.  Love it when Clayborn is on the weak side and Takk & Vic lune up together on the strong side.  So much speed to deal with.

And can the mini-Predator, Clayborn, get some love.  Dude has been an assassin

Yep. It's not complicated. DQ got out of his comfort zone and it fed to the defense. They're all back comfortable and balling out now.

And I don’t know how we got him or who he is, but this is two games in a row where Ive seen Mariner pushing the pocket.  Almost got his first sack yesterday and recorded a QB hit

Stronger coverage forces QBs to hold the ball which let's the pass rush get there. We've been talking about the pass rush win rate all season. They've been in the top ten all season but allowing the most yards inside of 2 seconds. They finally are playing physical and aggressive because they have nothing to lose and it's paying dividends.

Random, but I'm excited for Lindstrom's return. Carpenter is terrible. Brown has been good at RG. Him and McGary are like the Bash Brothers on that side. Put Lindstrom at LG and you just might have a very good OL to finish the season.

I did say repeatedly that our problem was not talent on the field. It was horrible coaching. I said repeatedly that Cowardly Clueless Quinn was the problem.

Not the players.

Not TD.

These two games have proven  me right.

The thing is though. Dan Quinn is still a coach on the falcons. He made the changes to the coaching staff, and it’s working. That’s not really clueless. He’s not just doing nothing. The team is in fact playing better without him calling plays, but he put the team in the position they’re in now by making the changes. A coach made coaching changes. He didn’t give up on the team, when he could have, knowing his job was toast. You’re argument isn’t inaccurate that DQ calling plays as the HC wasn’t working, but he made the changes and that’s ultimately what us fans wanted, and it’s still being complained about. If it’s broke, you fix it. And so far he’s done what needed to be done to fix it by putting the team before himself. That’s not cowardly or clueless.

I will say that yes DQ made some horrible decisions over the years so that is all on him. But to say the guy is a cheerleader is just asinine. He knows how to coach and play good D. His issues is trust and he trusted the wrong people on his defense to deliver and they did not. It took 8 weeks but he made the changes and now you are seeing it, what his defense would look like with competent coaching. I bet he was overwhelmed being the HC and DC, made some changes and now we are seeing it pay off. DQ is a **** of a Dline coach and the past 2 weeks should show that as well. I say blame the man, but at least admit he is capable of change and improvement, he didnt suddenly forget how to coach, man.

His defense has not been good since he been here.  Even with the last 2 games this year defense still rank bottom of the league in scoring defense(26th right now).  3 out of 5 years his defense have ranked 25th or worse in scoring defense, and let not get into DVOA where his defense has ranked 22th, 26th, 22th, 31th, and 30th.

Brown has to address his penalty issues.  It was my concern when we signed.  He had 8 penalties in 8 games with NY last year and that was considered his best tape.  It’s continuing this year with ATL.

In fact, Mack, Brown, Carpenter & McGary all have 5 penalties this year.  Needs to tighten up

Every word you said is true. And yet---.

As soon as Cowardly Clueless Quinn lets Ulbrich and Morris start running the defense:

  • Penalties go way down.
  • Intensity goes way up.
  • Sacks are up.
  • Pressures are up.
  • Forced turnovers are up.
  • The offense plays within the system due to not being terrified of a non-scoring drive.
  • The offense can run the ball in quarters 2-4 due to not being down by 17 points in the first quarter.

This all happened EXACTLY and SPECIFICALLY when Cowardly Clueless Quinn was out of the defensive play-calling picture. This is too much, too many changes, too many BIG changes, to be a coincidence.

You're really trying to get that nickname over. Good luck.

We have 2 defensive coordinators and a cheerleader on the sidelines pretending to be a HC.

First off moving Morris to the offensive side of the ball has proven to be one of the dumbest moves by Quinn.

If Ulbrich is calling 1st and 2nd downs and Morris calling 3rd, Morris needs to be promoted to HC and Ulbrich to DC immediately. The D is playing out of his mind all Quinn does is continue to never understand when to call a time out and high five their work. I would love to see what Morris could do as a interim HC with all 53.

pretty sure I've read that Morris 'requested' to be moved to WR coach, so he could expand his knowledge and experience. Wasn't Quinn's idea, but he did go along with it. I'm just glad he's back to the secondary though, the change is drastic and immediate for success

1-8, 4-9 starts. Jordan Richards trade for 6th, Vic Bustley, Trufant, 5-2 Defense, turning Takk into an OLB tells me he doesn't know defense as well as you think he does. I am ready to move on.

Perfect assessment. And yes, Quinn called another T/O yesterday that blew-up in his face again. Thought we hired someone to call T/Os and make those kinds on in-game decisions? If we did, then DQ needs to handover that job as well! He would then be left with what he does well, being a male-cheerleader. He even gets me excited when they pan the camera over. Obviously not from the Belichick coaching tree of male-cheerleaders.

What has Blank gotten himself into? Just fire his ***! (Could spend 2-years doing a talent search of people already under hire.)

I want a winning coach. If Quinn and staff can turn this pile of burning dung into a winner, then her deserves to stay.

A new coach is a bigger risk than keeping Quinn another year of he goes 4-2 over the next 6 games.

I cannot disagree with this.

Pretty lame IMHO.  Calling someone a coward is pretty weak, and what exactly is it based on??? DQ seems the opposite of a coward. Cowards quit, and to his credit, he's still facing the music. Quitrino was a coward, DQ is not...
