Shoutout to Oliver

XXVIII-III

Recommended Posts

I think one of the things that is forgotten about Oliver is that he is only a 2nd year player, 1st year starter.  He is going to continue to develop and with good coaching can still be a very good player.  Like most board posters, they think the way a player is his first 10 games is all he will ever be.  Not saying he is going to be a pro-bowler, but give him some time to grow.

Always have said here that he could be 'shut-down' corner and will be a Pro-Bowler. There I said it.

He certainly passes the eye ball test the last 2 games. Long and fast twitch for his size and more physical than what I saw in college. Willing tackler with good breaks on ball in air. Growth before our eyes.

Another shout out( without a thread) in my book goes to Crawford dropping into coverage, this guy was beasting in the middle of field and almost took a couple receivers heads off. I have forever been curious since the Babineaux days of DT dropping back of what a coaching staff (with our players) could want and believe it happened today.

Scary seeing that big boy coming at you unblocked and at a full sprint.

Yep. Raheem Morris turned him around in a big way and they are letting him press at the line. That's been the biggest issue. He is not an off man corner. They are playing him to his strength and trusting he can win and he's played much better.

well at least now he found confidence to put his hands on people at the line. press was played before but for some reason he refused to jam the WRs at the line...
