Isn't this just a way for the NFL to say, "See, you got a try out in front of several teams" in an attempt to discredit his claims of being blacklisted due to his kneeling during the anthem?

If Kap shows up, and let's be real here, nobody is actually gonna sign him, but then the NFL can say they gave him a workout & he just didn't cut it, so he has no validity to his claim any more.

If Kap decides not to go because he knows it's a sham, they'll say he turned down an opportunity & thus he has no validity to his claim anymore.

Basically, he's d@mned either way.

Yep. It’s all just to cover their own ***. I love football but I ******* hate the nfl

Y’all boys are caught up in politics. I’m trying to get rest.

What does my political views have to do with the fact that Blank didn't welcome.Vick back to the team to play?

It’s probably one of the groundskeepers. They’re going to be there anyway.

Very true. How many teams do you see signing quarterbacks on week 11? No one is working out quarterbacks individually so why would they need to see this workout?

It's a power move by the league to make him bow down. Kap probably found out about the work out an hour before we did. He knows it's a sham but has to go anyway. By the time someone possibly would want to sign him next off season, this will be forgotten and easy to blow off.

He could have the greatest workout if all time and nothing will happen. The workout will be terrible by the way. Hue just found out he is running it. Kap had no time to prepare. Workouts like these are usually coordinated efforts to make everyone look great. Those two haven't met or prepared anything. It's a joke.

Good luck though.

What's to be confused about? For the league to completely catch everyone off guard with this and host it on a Saturday and not Tuesday like they would any other player shows that it's a pure PR stunt. Plus it's at Flowery Branch so why wouldn't a scout be on hand. I also heard that they will be able to record EVERYTHING so that makes up for the main people that wont be able to attend. They didn't allow him to reschedule or anything, a take it or leave it deal basically for the NFL to shut up everyone that keeps saying he's been whiteballed.

Personally I don't want him because I don't think he's that good but would be lying if I said he wasn't better than a lot of back ups in the league. Also heard that this is for due diligence to any team thinking about him next season while you have so many young up and coming guys playing decently and a few solid QB's coming into the league via the draft

If anyone knows anything about Arthur Blank they wouldn't be shocked at all. I heard Arthur voluntarily offered the Falcons complex.

I heard Arthur already took him out for a steak dinner and is now escorting him around the complex with his arm over his shoulder

I wonder how many folks upset by this would be upset by the media circus surrounding Tim Tebow getting a tryout.

Feel like it might be a different reaction.

I guess you have forgotten how many people hated that Tim Tebow was in the NFL and made a joke out of him praying before a game.

But your Tebow response is so predictable.

Kaep would be a solid backup QB if he takes a cheap deal to get back in. The political stuff is out of the news and was overblown to begin with.

You have no way of knowing if Kaep would be a solid backup. His last couple of years as a QB were terrible and he hasn’t played in three years on top of that.

Do I think Kaep was blackballed by the NFL?  I do.  And that completely flies in the face of wat this country represents.

But let’s not act like Kaep was a world beating talent. If you cherry pick his best stats for his entire career it still shows a below average starting QB

Best Completion %: 62

Most Yards:  3,300

Most TD’s: 21

Sack Rate: 10% (terrible number)

Kaep’s legacy is held up by a dominant playoff performance in GB and bringing his team back from 17 points down in NFCCG vs ATL.  Outside of that he was below average starter in every measurable way

His stats say otherwise. He would be an above average backup and borderline starter
