Atlantafan21
Man, I didn’t even realize this. Dudes been on Julio’s jock for the last few seasons with no penalties called. Finally at least one penalty has been called against him. Ergo Proxy, NeonDeion, Faithful Falcon and 2 others

I used to love the Locked On Falcons podcast when he was on there. Aaron Freeman is extremely knowledgeable but is way too pessimistic for my liking, Allen balanced him out extremely well and they were a really good duo. With Allen gone I can’t even listen to it anymore. NeonDeion and Ergo Proxy

Ergo Proxy
Btw notice the play Julio > Apple...Saints bring 6. We have a clean pocket for the play to develop; keeping Free in and one of the TEs. Carp allowed the most pressures this game by a bit IIRC...get Chris back and we could have a solid pocket for years; pending Mack’s departure and C replacement. (Hoping for Mack to stay 1 more)

His constant Blatant PI against Julio over the years has almost made these rivalry games unwatchable. Like most “weak” dogs, he had to leave the stage after his mysterious injury... Xavier Rhodes, Jalen Ramsey a few weeks ago. Remember when Gonzo was here, and in the Redzone, they allowed two defenders to literally hold him? It happened multiple times as well. The scum-bag zebras have been trolling JJ with no calls on blatant PI fouls for years. This one penalty finally being called is like a sick joke and almost a further insult. The NFL will never be anything but a farce and a third-rate Clown Show until they upgrade the officiating. Refs need more and better training. This should become a full-time job for them. During games, reviews need to be made by people who are NOT affiliated with the referees and have no interest in trying to cover for and rubber stamp the semi-trained moron zebras on the field. More camera angles are also badly needed. I could go on and on, but why bother. /rant. Atlantafan21 and FalconJim

Yeah, Gonzo was probably the most held player in History, but hardly ever called! And JJ would be a close 2nd. I always said, being an NFL Referee should be a full-time job, so they have more time to work on their "craft". But I doubt they'd go for that, since it would be a serious pay cut for most of 'em... ChickenBiscuit
unpopular opinion: If you can consistently hold one of the best WRs in the league and not get called for it, chances are, you're probably a top tier CB. Richard Sherman made an art out of this. I hate it, but I'm not mad at Lattimore for it, I wish we had a guy that physical in our secondary. kiwifalcon
Jesus
Looking forward to Thanksgiving night. If the game was in NO the noise and anger from their fans for a rematch would be crazy. But since it is in Atlanta, that nice and quiet golf like atmosphere should make things nice and easy for the Falcons.
kiwifalcon
That’s not holding that’s getting mugged. The problem is this. When Julio beats up on DBs while still getting mugged.I believe the officials give leeway to defenders in his case.Unconscious bias I’d call it.He beats these muggings alot of the time so DBs get more leeway against him than other players. This if you don’t try he’s ripping you a new one everytime.DBs realise this and push the boundaries.I think for the most part the zebras give DBs a little more leeway against #11.
