RazorWing
Nope. It just one game. Need an offensive mind coach. Quinn is gone with td. I hope the new coach retains him. If the defense improves.

Geneaut
This is the trap we fell into with Quinn. Just because you handle your business at the DC position doesn't mean you are HC material. Managing an entire operation like an NFL football team is different than being in charge of 25-26 players. That said the D looked marvelous yesterday. Keep an eye on this guy. 4dabirds
Or, maybe all coaches/coordinators need to stay in their current position for the rest of the season to see who has what it takes. Seriously, you want Ulbrich at HC after one game as DC? And they finish 8-8 or 7-9. The new coach will be smart to keep him. The defense dont have to learn a new system. And we can draft more players for defense. I mentioned this in another thread but if the defense improves to that extent there's a good chance Ulbrich could leave for a head coaching job somewhere else. Flyin' In DC
Give me Stefanski as HC and keep Ulbricht as DC and I would be on board with that

MAD597
Well in true Falcons form what may happen is he rights the defense, we go 6-10 Quinn is fired and this guy gets hired and goes lights out and ends up a HC somewhere to face Mike S in the Superbowl. On the other hand, Quinn has shown us in the past that he can't manage a game as an HC, and this year he has shown 100% that he can't do it as DC either. Makes you wonder why the heck he is still on the sideline.

What are you ******* crazy? I was talking about IF the team finished 8-8 or better and it was due to a dramatic turn around by the defense which Ulbrich would have been the architect. Unlike every other team, this one had the 'defensive guru' in charge and he drove it into the ground. If Ulbrich does the unthinkable and transforms the disaster into what happened against the Saints and repeats it every week from here on out..... his name is going to show up on a lot of short lists. And yes it is improbable but if he does it people will notice. Dr Long Shot and PokerSteve

g-dawg
Any owner that would hire a HC off of ONE GAME is insane. I like Ulbrich and have beard envy but that's as far as it goes. Ulbrich may end up being a great HC someday but he would need to be a coordinator first with a track record. Some guys can go from being something less than a coordinator to a HC - but it is rare - and risky. FalconJim
