FalconJim
Didn't see this posted. From the AJC: FLOWERY BRANCH — Wide receiver Brandon Powell was elevated from the practice squad to the Falcons’ 53-man roster on Tuesday. Powell, 23, was signed to the practice squad earlier this season. He played six games with the Lions last season. He caught 11 passes for 129 yards. The Falcons also signed offensive guard Anthony Coyle and safety CJ Reavis to the practice squad. Just for depth, I'm sure...

Tribal Chief
11 catches for a buck 29. It makes you wonder how these types of guys would fare in an expanded role.
Geneaut
He returned kicks when he was at Florida. Wonder if something is up on the STs front? FalconJim

When Kenny Golliday was hurt last year, Powell got to start in a week 17 game against Green Bay.He had 6 receptions for 103 yards. He also had a 67 yard kick return for Detroit this preseason. That's wild man. The things you get from the guys that don't make a boat load of money. I'd love to see more guys get opportunities to show why they received a college scholarship. We need to get him, and a few other "hungry" players out there and see what they can do!!! Dude is balling out, and hasn't even got paid yet --- that's like 18 yds. per reception, and a 67 yd. kick return!!! I mean, seriously, what do we have to lose?!?!?!
