Watching the KC/Vikes game wind down, I am sadly reminded of how much I miss having a NFL team to root for that is exciting and fun to watch.

Even our few wins over the past couple of seasons have been... well... not the sort of thing I just saw.

I would say our win against Philly was actually a pretty exciting game, even if frustrating. Outside of that, I agree we’ve been a seriously boring team. Nowadays we either win(which are rare these days) or get blown out. We’re just one of the most boring teams in the league now, despite all the weapons we have on offense.

I think the Jets will eventually win a game or 2 more than the Falcons will this season.

Especially if Ryan remains out.

Bengals 0-8

(Ravens, @Raiders, Steelers, Jets, @Browns, Pats, @Dolphins, Browns)

Dolphins 1-7

(@Colts, Bills, @Browns, Eagles, @Jets, @Giants, Bengals, @Pats)

Falcons 1-7

(@Saints, @Panthers, Bucs, Saints, Panthers, 49ers, Jags, Bucs)

Redskins 1-8

(Jets, Lions, @Panthers, @Packers, Eagles, Giants, @Cowboys)

Jets 1-7

(Giants, @Redskins, Raiders, @Bengals, Dolphins, @Ravens, Steelers, @Bills)

Giants 2-6

(Cowboys, @Jets, @Bears, Packers, @Eagles, Dolphins, @Redskins, Eagles)

Broncos 2-6

(Browns, @Vikings, @Bills, Chargers, @Texans, @Chiefs, Lions, Raiders)

Bucs 2-5

(@Seahawks, Cardinals, Saints, @Falcons, @Jags, Colts, @Lions, Texans, Falcons)

Browns 2-5

(@Broncos, Bills, Steelers, Dolphins, @Steelers, Bengals, @Cardinals, Raven, @Bengals)

Falcons can easily win 2/3 more games. Any ties with Bengals, Dolphins, Redskins, Jets we will pick after them.

I think the Jets, Dolphins, Bengals, Giants, and Skins all have to pretty much cannibalize off of each other over the next few weeks.

That goes well for the Falcons if they don't turn around and start winning.

Redskins - Jets have to play each other. Dolphins - Jets have to play each other again. Bengals play both the Jets and Dolphins.

Falcons just need to lose out and go 1-15, some of those other teams will get wins by facing one another.

Look how many times these 1-2 win teams all play each other. Dolphins, Bengals and Jets all have 4 games remaining all against 1-2 win teams currently.

Where are the Falcons easy wins? The Bucs offense will easily overwhelm our JV defense. We MIGHT beat the Jags. Everyone else we are losing to.

They’ve just barely gotten by all the bad teams on their schedule and been dominated by the good teams they’ve faced. They’re a few missed FGs away from having a .500 record.

I was afraid we'd beat the buccs. I think jags are the only team we have to worry about. 2-14 should be a top 3 pick.

Brady still gets paid.

He wasn't always taking pay cuts for the team, especially early on.

How much did they pay him during his last 3 Superbowl wins?  Answer: less than Stat Ryan.

Russell Wilson isn't overrated. I thought Seattle was a strong team before they played the Falcons but seeing Schaub move the ball on them at will... and the atrocious historically bad Falcons defense shutting down the Seahawks offense in the 2nd half, my opinion of them... downgraded A LOT.

Bucs have actually won 4 out of the last 5 against the Seahawks, the Seahawks only win in that stretch was in 2013 when they were at home against a 4-12 Bucs team they had to come from behind and win in OT against, and the Seahawks won the Super Bowl that year of course.

Rodgers, Brees, Newton, Roethlisberger, Vick, Goff, Rivers, Luck, and Wilson all got paid.

Name a QB that a team got rid of because they would rather draft a QB than to pay the already good to really good QB that is already on the team?

Brady is the outlier. He has made millions in NFL salary and endorsements before taking pay cuts. I bet he also gets a lot in bonuses as well.

Last year alone:

Brady’s cap hit $22M

Ryan’s cap hit $17.7M

2014 Brady got paid $2.7M less than Ryan on the cap.

2016...when the Falcons made the SB and choked? Ryan was paid $10M more.

Conclusion: No Correlation

Coaching folks...

Man, the Packers are laying an egg halfway through 3rd Q vs the Chargers.

Amazing it’s just a 2 score game. If Falcons Offense had 0 points by now it’d be 30-0.

Chargers defense got them on lock. I like that both defenses are actually playing

Even if you was to somehow trade Ryan and draft a QB. If that QB turns out to be good, don't you know that you'll also have to pay that QB top market value as well?

Unless you want to have awful starting QBs forever, you are going to have to pay good QBs.

Ain't no way around it unless you don't want to have a shot at winning.

There are some terrible teams out there. Part of them are the usual suspects. Misery loves company
