There’s absolutely no reason to.

He would take some pressure off of Julio IMHO.

I'm really glad Josh Gordon got his life turned around.

With that said, we are good at WR. I hope he flourishes somewhere in the AFC.

We don’t know that yet. I’m rooting for him though.

but recent reports state his work ethic is poor. Of course we will never know if that’s true or not but that’s supposedly part of the reason he’s gone. He showed signs of his former self last season but he looks nothing like that this season

He's not on drugs anymore and back in the league.  That's a pretty big accomplishment.  That's more the angle I was looking at.

Exactly.

Gordon smoked his potentially great years away.

Yeah he did.

What I’m saying is we won’t truly know that until he proves that to be true for multiple years. Been rooting for him since his first suspension.

I thought Gordon's big problem was alcohol.

Gordon had a few big problems sadly.  Dude could have been a hall of famer...

The fan in me would love to see a trio of Julio/Gordon/RIdley.  That just sounds unfair.  But it won't happen...though it would make for a very easy comp pick for the team.  Matt inflates his stats, he goes gets paid somewhere else, comp pick.

If this was still pre suspension, fresh out of the supplemental draft Gordon then that trio would be outright nasty. Gordon isn’t that player anymore. Either that or his work ethic is bad which is what’s rumored and ultimately led to his release.

and fluff those stats :tiphat:

Yup...man he could have been an all time great.  So sad to see...if he could just get it like...80% together...dude would be amazing.

At 28, he ain’t got long before teams completely give up on him. This type of behavior isn’t going to fly in winning locker rooms unless Mike Tomlin is the coach

Pats giving the Falcons a 2 for Sanu, while releasing this guy tells me all I need to know.

They had to release him off IR due to the nature of the assignment. They would've brought em back if he went unclaimed.
