The Consolidated Vic Beasley Thread

rings- It is time for new direction up top. No more faith in McKay or current group of scouts, it cant always be the coaches fault. Need to look elsewhere, Falcons continue to struggle to pick linemen, they continue to struggle to have a solid defense, they continue to struggle to have a offense with any time of solid running game and this has been throughout several coaches. When the same problems repeat themselves it time for change elsewhere in the organization and the common denominator throughout is Blank and McKay, and you cant fire Blank so McKay has to go. The Falcons roster is extremely poor so yes TD has to go but so do the scouts ESPECIALLY those who have been here 5+ years. They have FAILED to correct the problems mentioned above. The Falcons need a complete rebuild both in coaches AND front office. Just changing coaches and firing a "do boy" GM like TD aint going to suffice Atlanta fans this time. We want a team that is built solid from the ground up. This team feels and looks like a team poorly assembled. McKay, Sabo, Emery, Webster, Collier, and TD gotta go. No more bait and switch from Blank by hiring another coach. WE WANT REAL CHANGE IN FLOWERY BRANCH! Ed Dodds 2020!!!

he inherited that defense he didnt build it. nice try though

I didn’t mention him being able to build and analyze personnel, He has proven here he can’t do that, that wasn’t what the comment was about.  Previous guy said he couldn’t coach, The two best years that defense had was under Quinn.  Defensive dvoa, points, trips to super bowl all prove that.

Are you just repeating the same post over and over on multiple threads?

Nope here's your problem and 1st one to be fired, he hired TD and terrible scouting department.

Image result for rich mckay fired

what I wish someone could explain is why he's on the "competition" committee, and we still get screwed so badly by the refs every game, as well as how the crybaby coach in taintsville jumped up and down and cried and whined after our first game a few years ago so much that our second game was about as biased and called in their favor as any game could be

I wonder these days about what is going on in the mind of someone like Vic Beasley.

Many will want to give the cute answer "NOTHING" but if that were the case, he would be simply dead with no heartbeat.

However, consider what is being shown to us fans and coaches and other players:

1) How can he not be ashamed of his play - from leading the league in sacks a few seasons ago to virtually none in current and prior seasons?

2) Does he not feel any desire to improve his performance with extended workouts before season and extra practice during the season?

3) Is he expecting to improve his play without ever developing new techniques as other teams study him and their defense of him?

4) Does he watch himself on film ever and see how stupid he looks in some of his "virtual" sacks or easily-blocked plays?

5) Can he even talk to some of his teammates who produce at a much higher effort while he appears a total slack?

6) How was he able to convince TD? Quinn? Blank? that he was worth another year - does he remind them daily he is their 1st round pick?

7) What is he doing behind the scenes to justify his starting every new week when he only continues to play worse?

8) Is he really only in it for the money after having one good season and is doing as little as possible and still get paid?

9) If money is all he wants now, why not just fake an injury and take a settlement or sit on IR the rest of this season?

10) Is he a real jerk who is enjoying watching the Falcons lose largely because of his play?

11) Does he just not plan to play next year or does he really think any team would pay him anything big after his play this year?

12) Does he have an agent who never talks to him and points out how bad his play has become?

13) Is he totally mute to all the radio shows, newspaper articles, fan boards, etc. that talk about how bad he has become?

14) Has he not heard about the fact the Falcons want to trade him but are finding very little interest-an omen of his future?

15) Has he just lost interest in football and is doing the minimum until he can retire at the end of this season?

16) Is he a true idiot with no understanding of how bad his play is, what he needs to do to improve, and what is going on around him?

17) Is he a mastermind who manipulated fans/coaches with one great season and is now making tons of money with little effort?

18) Is he a ruthless psychotic angry about something that was done to him by coaches, owners, fans and is getting his revenge with bad play?

I seriously wonder how Vic does think having appeared as a budding superstar at one point to becoming one of the most pitiful starting Falcons players ever.  I would love to find out this board has a psychiatrist on it to explain Vic but would be more surprised to find out this board has someone who supports Vic at his current state.

Doesnt the scouting department do research on players they present to the coaches, seems if he had all the issue slickone was talking about someone in our piss poor scouting department would have picked this up, guess this is why they were all FIRED from their last jobs. But hey let's fire the coach and keep the same old garbage employed in the scouting department. Bunch of bull

Image result for bullshit

I don't think he did. All 3 or at least 1 in particular... convinced themselves.

Sadly, GMs are slow to cut bait with a bad pick to avoid admitting as such. Looks like signing him for more years is giving Vic an opportunity to help Blank and TD save face. That ship has sailed.

Could be the next Peria Jerry. Just don’t wanna do it anymore. At least Peria had the guts to walk in Smitty’s office, throw down his playbook and say “I’m done”

And jerry did it after years of trying to recover from a terrible injury. Just too bad he called it quits when he was starting to play decent again.

bic had his one good season and thought he arrived and didn’t have to work anymore.
