Great write up and thanks for posting.

All of the Falcons issues can be summed up in this one short paragraph; Atlanta was a hungrier team in 2016. One possible reason this team plays with no edge is nobody seems the least bit insecure about their job. Accountability is non-existent.

In other words the polar opposite of a Belichek run team..Blank and the entire organization is culpable.

He's got to realize ~ or somebody has to tell him ~ to butt the f*** out of the day-to-day affairs of the team. He can't be making proclamations like, "Yeah, he's going to be a Falcon for life," while his GM is negotiating with that player's agent. DUH.

There are many instances that could be referenced but the point doesn't need belaboring. Blank needs to hire a head football guy he trusts, then let him run the football operations without having to field requests and suggestions from a guy whose expertise is selling hammers and paint.

Yeah man... when Blank came out while negotiations were going on and proclaimed "_________ will be a Falcon for life", I double face-palmed.

... and he's done it more than once.

Sorry, but that's a guy who has forgotten his role and has turned the team into an extended family. It may sound all brotherhoody, but it's a terrible way to go.

Kareem Hunt is gonna be a FA, and probably still a top 10 RB in this league. We will need a RB next to replace Free whether it be a draft pick or a FA. The days of TD selling us on guys who are team captains, or he's a SR team leader are OVER hopefully. We need more players with dog in them. Especially on the OL,DL, and defense as a whole.

Neal had it but he is injury prone,GJ has it,and Debo does too but maybe he needs to move to OLB or get bigger DT in front of him help him flow to the ball. Vic, and Campbell are soft come as passive and you see it in their play and opponents don't fear or respect or D.

A team with a couple of Vontaze Burfict's on it(minus the bonehead penalties) will beat a team full of team captains(Troffed) ANYDAY of the week. Mentality. That's where the game is won. We have no mentality, therefore we have no Identity. Mr. Blank please got get a GM that can identify players with a mentality that matches their athletic ability, and a coach that will utilize them to the best of their ability. Freeman to the chiefs. Beasley to the Houston Texans since Watt went down.. Trufant to the Jags or Oakland. Fire Dan Quinn, the OC, the DC, and look at hiring Mike Shannahan as the head coach. Great offensive mind. We would be loaded for the draft 2020

In what world is JJ Watt and Beasley interchangeable?

Hunt maybe. He was a total bonehead, but I'm okay giving him a second chance.

But Burfict? Nope. What chance is he on now, chance 8?

Nothing edgy about Hunt kicking a woman.

Burfict isn't edgy, he's dirty.

Players can be edgy without the off the field problems or dirty play on the field. Brian Dawkins was the perfect example of an edgy player who wasn't problematic at all.

My point exactly. I'm not saying draft dirty players, but players who get in the opponents head before the game is even played. Every TE and WR knew before playing Philly and Dawkins that it was gonna be a physical day. That's what I meant by mentality matching athletic ability

Takk isn't exactly a choir boy either.

Takk is a pro wrestler. All gimmick...smoke and mirrors. He told us post draft he was a Booker T fan, and he plays like it. Cussing on TV and grandma pic not gonna get us no sacks

Raiders have Burfict and Incognito.  Burfict suspended for the season, Incognito suspended two games so far.  What’s the point of having those kinds of players if they can’t actually be on the field?

Once again. Not the player, the MENTALITY.

Players like that get suspended.  You mentioned Kareem Hunt as well, guess what he’s been doing all season?  You guessed it.

Here we go with another false narrative about the need to be an idiot in order to be tough. Look at the two examples.

Edgy = Stupid & Risky sometimes.

How many times do you need to see these guys blow themselves up?

I’ll take edgy when it doesn’t include the stupid poor decisions along with it.

There are plenty of tough, edgy guys who don’t do stupid **** lmao.

Why in the world would you use a woman beater and one of the dirtiest players in the league as your examples?

There are plenty of high character guys who are great football players... let's try and go for those, mmmkay?

It’s total bull-**** man.  I don’t know what type of men some of these guys have for role models, but this sort of thinking never leads to good results.  It’s a false narrative and it’s unhealthy if this type of attitude is programmed into someone’s head.

No players that have domestic violence allegations/charges. Absolutely not.

I'd take a killer or two though, as long as their victim(s) were men. :)

To answer the OP's question. No if Blank fires TD, and I'm not convinced that he will, The roster is and always will be a reflection of the owner not the GM. You are mistaken if you think TD is going after "choir boys" because that's his preference. After Blank got burned by Vick he has put a premium on "High Character" players

If the Falcons were a team of Burficts, I’d go root for another team. There is no way in h*** I’m going to root for a team that actively tries to injure other players.

This team is missing a coach. Not thugs
