We have nothing but a bunch of bums on defense.. If all of them were cut today maybe 2 would be signed as starters on other NFL teams.. Thats just reality

Guys like Beasley, I agree.  Most of the other guys that get playing time on the D would likely do better elsewhere.  Poole is doing pretty well on the Jets.  Not setting the world on fire, but better than he was here.

I feel for Bryant but he probably saved our defense more embarrassment.

And maybe Quinn's job for another week.  If the game had gone into overtime and the Cardinals marched right down the field for a touchdown, I don't know if Quinn could have survived it.

No  OT needed.  They had plenty of time to march back after the kick to score a TD or FG to win the game.

I dont think Ryan is a terrible qb if you actually read my post.. Its the whole situation of the team that I have a issue with.. Ryan definitely isnt the answer to anything, but you can go back 5 years and read my post.. Im a build your defense first guy and we continue to do the opposite. I just get so sick of delusional fans believing Ryan hasnt been babied with the best offensive weapons money can buy and Ryan cant win games without a good defense.. Thats all id like the Ryan homers to understand.. But they are always too busy posting useless stats

Brady actually wins often because of good defense.

Of all the clutch kicks Bryant has made for this team I had no problem whatsoever on today missed XP.  This season has been a total crap, and with the way the defense playing there is no light at the end of the tunnel.  So what if it's another loss on a crappy season is the way I see it.  I mean it's not like the defense didn't get another chance to show up after the missed XP either.

You have a good point there.

This team has always been successful with no-huddle and up tempo and Matt calling the plays! Why can't this coaching staff or the prior one ever get that through their heads? We're almost like a machine when we go that route. Frustrating.

That's true for sure this year. But Brady has carried that team on his shoulders a lot even when the D isn't good.

This is the story of Dirk and Mularkey's time in Atlanta. We drag around the whole game and then finally start going up tempo.. then we come back....

Basically the same as I posted above. No huddle up tempo and this team looks machine-like. Yet the coaches don't keep calling it that way. It would make the Pope cuss.

I agree but many of their SB wins were because of defense.

It's very frustrating. Wish it didn't take us losing to get them to go to it more.

When was Brady’s defense not good?

Since 2008 Brady has had a top ten scoring defense 11/12 seasons, 92% of the time.

Ryan has had that 3/12 seasons, 25% of the time, including the dead last one so far this year.

Saw a joke that Matt Bryant was getting Quinn back for cutting him this offseason lol

Or for not playing for the FG in SB51.  Bryant would have been the hero, but Shanny and Danny had to get fancy with the play calls.

At least two were because the opponent refused to rush at the end of the game, and Quinn was on the coaching staff for both of those teams.

Shouldnt have never came down to a FG against a 1-3-1 team to begin with. That team should have never scored 34 points.

What do you mean a 1-3-1 team??

The Falcons were 1-4 headed into the game!! Lol

Brady also has a HOF coach for his entire career.  Remember, the year where Brady missed the entire season Belichick still went 10-6, and the thing about the Patriot D is that Belichick always find a way to improve it as the season went along.  I mean the guy turned WR into CB to play defense for him.  Who else does that in the NFL?

I am guessing that's because the no huddle runs the risk of putting that terrible defense on the field even more. When it works its great; but a quick three and out and out marches the defense. BUT on the other hand its not like they could really do any worse so why not.

Technically we don’t know that Quinn actually wanted him gone.

I wish Quinn could evaluate him. Because he would want himself gone. Just like us.

Brady helps the defense a lot.  Except for the time with Moss, NE has mostly relied on a time consuming drives.  That tires out the opponent's defense and keeps yours off the field.
