It may not seem at the moment that the Falcons have any plan at all each week BUT the Falcons DO have a plan:

1) Lose more than enough games in convincing fashion to deliver another miserable season to their fans

And

2) End up winning just enough games that don’t matter to not have a top 5 draft pick

Today—another virtuoso FAIL performance by the Falcons against lowly Arizona! Somewhere Mike Smith is having a an ice cold alcoholic beverage and laughing his A-SS off at how “soft” and bad the 2019 Falcons are! Looks like Mike Smith passed the SACKS DONT MATTER torch down to Quinn.

Where would the Falcons be today if after losing the SB if we had instead made Shannahan Head Coach instead of letting him go & keeping Quinn. Let’s remember Quinn (like he does this year) was calling the Defensive plays in the SB and we were up 28-3.

And yes Shannahan screwed up royally at the end by not doing running plays after the Julio catch and we were in FG position BUT it’s Quinn’s job to override people when necessary and Quinn didn’t override Shannahan and just had to say STOP - we need 3 running plays and a FG to go up by 10 (or 3 kneel downs and a FG) and instead and that is what we are doing so we can run time down as well—-well you know the rest of the story we tried passing and ending up preserving time for the Patriots and ended up out of FG range and the rest is history —but let’s also remember it was our unstoppable prolific offense that catapulted us that year and not anything that Quinn did

Today another perfect example of Quinn’s idiocy at the end of the game by not at least trying an onside kick to keep possession as we only had 2 timeouts left. Yeah an onside kick is a low % play and probably we would have screwed it up too— but at least try because you still have to stop them from getting a 1st down and at least with onside kick we had an extra chance to try to win

Watching this team is like watching a really bad comedy Sitcom

Today’s game—-just another shining example that shows that Dan Quinn is not fit to be a coach in the NFL

I think you nailed it with the onside kick.  Kicking it deep you give your team one shot: stop them.  The onside gives you the opportunity to get the ball, and if you fail, you still have the original plan of stopping them.

Could not agree more...much better odds because at least you have a CHANCE to get the ball.
