Harry Douglas was a guest host on 92.9 this week. He was asked, of the possible interim HCs currently on the team (Kutty, Larkey, Raheem), who would he recommend? He said Larkey because when he became the interim HC in TEN, all the players loved playing for him and campaigned for him to become the permanent HC. Said he did and quickly turned the team around. Went to the playoffs in like his second year and won a road playoff game. Lost to NE and got fired.

MM wasn't fired. He left coz of disagreements with the owner and GM. They wanted to get rid of Robiskie and MM didn't agree.

I don’t understand the McDaniels love. He has a lot to work with and their offense has not looked great. Their defense and ST’s has helped out their offense a LOT.

I mean.. he's only been the offensive coordinator of a perennial SB contenting team since 2005 from where they transformed year in and year out to fit to their personnel.

Some years like in 2007 they're of the greatest passing offenses of all time and last year they won a SB as one of the best rushing offenses in the league.

He was the QB coach for Brady in 04, which is when Tom started turning into the passing juggernaut, he's developed many QBs that are starting in the league currently including Brissett and Garoppolo who will both most likely wipe the floor with our current team.

Oh yea, he's grown in a championship culture for 1 1/2 decade and knows what it takes to win some rings.

Oh yea, and he has the balls to dig his team out of a 25 point deficit in the Superbowl

Dude, kill the nicknames.  "Larkey" sounds dumb and it took me a couple of minutes to even figure out who you were talking about (I had to read other posts to get it).

And I wouldn't care, but it's a really good point you're making and it sucks for it to get lost in the mix.

Larkey doesn't sound as dumb as JDaveG.

At least people know who you're talking about when you use my screen name.

Didn't I used to have a nic for you? Counselor. Or was that one of the other lawyer wannabees? You should use it.

LMAO. Google Mularkey fired.

LMAO. They were extension talks going on, the GM and owner wanted different direction in the talks. Both parties walked away mutually and the Titans had to let go Mularky in his final year of the contract. It was widely reported on ESPN and others from beginning of extension discussions to parting ways.

The quick reversal may have been based on Mularkey’s decision at offensive coordinator. The head coach defended incumbent OC Terry Robiskie, and said he did not anticipate changes among his coaching staff.

“I think Terry did a very good job, a very good job,” Mularkey said, despite the unit’s inconsistent results. “Being a play-caller, that’s not easy. I thought he did a very good job.”

y'all whiners just need to get over it, AB won't fire Quinn until after the season is over, or almost over anyway. 6 weeks in isn't going to be the point AB says 'you're fired'

anyone who listens and banks on anything La Canfora says, proves what a moron they are anyway, cause of that 'birds of a feather' thing, ya know?

I take nothing la canfora says seriously. I am sure he is referring to people in his fantasy football league not liking these players. He is a tool and knows football only through his FF obsession.

that said, I agree the cap tied into certain players could be seen as a negative to a new coach. But not many people are gonna be mad to have Ryan, Julio, Jarrett, Jones, Matthews to build around.

i would be surprised if he is fired before the bye week personally, but he has earned his dismissal to this point for sure.

His football analysis is usually money. I don't understand the la canfora hate. Wouldn't you hate on the falcons too? They are the most inconsistent disappointing franchise in all of sports.

“They’ve got half of their cap tied up in five players who aren’t going anywhere – and not everybody likes those players as much as they do.”

Not EVERYBODY likes those guys as much as TAFT does. That says alot!!!!

La Canfora

fantasy football specialist....I am sure he is getting the inside scoop from teams lol.

After the Redskins Gruden would give his left nut to work with an offense that had Julio and Ryan, a lot of coaches would.LOL

No, its garbage. He is like a broken clock which is right twice a day. Over the years, he always predicted Falcon's doom and gloom. He is right when things don't go well for falcons. He is another lazy guy, give me Pete Prisco any day, he has said good things and bad things about falcons. Often right than wrong.

Not saying Quinn will get fired if the Falcons lose to Arizona. But I hope he does get fired if the Falcons lose to Arizona. This is a terrible defense that Quinn is responsible for ,what are they doing at practice? They look dumb and lazy with only maybe 3 exceptions.

Nah, FFS was spot on,

but personally, I dislike the idea of Mularkey as HC, even in interim. I’d go Morris, ****cane Koetter and MM as OC

LOL. No, he isnt by any stretch. They were in extension talks and agreed to part because MM didn't want to fire the OC. It was a big joke in TEN last year the way things went down. How would you go from announcing an extension to let go of the coach? I respect MM for sticking to his conviction rather than the job.

Read the article. Lots of them out there post twitter

I followed it closely, there were multiple interviews on ESPN. Bottom line the GM thought OC didn't do enough for Mariota. MM said he was happy with OC and refused to fire. They parted right after the extension was agreed.
